Gigabyte has just released the Vista edition of its M912 mini laptop, M912V. This fashionable notebook PC that comes with a 8.9-inch tablet PC-style WXGA touchscreen display feautres a 4GB Solid State Disk, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, a 160GB of SATA hard drive, and an optional HSDPA connectivity. Showcased during Computex 2008, Gigabyte M912 Netbook sports an 8.9-inch touchscreen display that can be rotated 180 degrees just like a tablet PC. For the storage, it uses a traditional 250GB HDD, but customers can opt-in for a Solid State Disk (up to 4GB) if they prefer. Furthermore, weighs at just 1.2kg, the mini notebook is also equipped with an ExpressCard slot, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, and either Windows Vista or Linux operating system.

Gigabyte M528 UMPC is going to arrive very soon. Scheduled to hit the Taiwan store in late July, you’ll be able to take this Atom-powered baby home if you have €480 (about $750) in cash. On the inside, the Linux-based Ultra Mobile PC features boasts an 800Mhz Intel Centrino Atom CPU, a 512MB of main memory, a 4GB of SSD (Solid State Disk), a 4.8-inch touchscreen display with 800×480 resolution, an integrated 3 megapixel webcam, HSDPA, Bluetooth, and built-in GPS navigation capabilities. No words on pricing though.

Powered by Intel X38 + ICH9R chipset and 1600Mhz FSB (Front Side Bus) along with support for Intel 45nm Core 2 multi-core processors and DDR2 1200 RAM, Gigabyte GA-EX38-DS4 is a perfect choice for those whose seeking a perfect high-end motherboard for their desktop PC. It features an energy saving performance, thanks to the adoption of DES technology, combines with a high-quality CPU power module with Ferrite Core Chokes, Lower RDS (on) MOSFETs and Lower ESR Solid Capacitors.

My only disappointment is that I forgot to ask the store to replace that E8200 (2.66Ghz) with E8400 (3.00GHz) as its only $20 higher. Oh well, maybe I should just save the money and upgrade to quad-core 45nm processor two months later

If you’re a mobile worker and want to be able to do anything you need to do without carrying too many gadgets, then check out the new premium cell phone from Gigabyte. Called GSmart MS808, this Windows Mobile 6.1-based handset offers a bright 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen display, an integrated GPS navigation module, a digital TV / radio support, built-in DVB-T/DVB-H/T-DMB/ISDB-T/DMB receiver, and an integrated 3 megapixel camera module with autofocus. It is powered by a 624Mhz Marvell PXA310 procesosr and runs on quad-band GSM/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900) network with support for HSDPA/EDGE/WCDMA 2100. Moreover, its Wifi connectivity provides seamless internet browsing on the go. And don’t forget, since MS808 is using WM6, you can expect it to take care your office work (read document, draw chart, play presentation, etc).

No words on pricing at the moment, but this 116 x 60 x 14.1mm device will be available as early as Q3 2008, so stay tune, guys!

Gigabyte comes out with a nice concept, a UMPC with a sliding keyboard like those usually found on PDA or smartphone devices. Called “Gigabyte M704″, this compact 7-inches machine boasts a 1.2GHz VIA C7-M ULV processor, VIA VX-700 UniChrome Pro Core chipset, a 768MB of DDR2 main memory, and a 1.8-inches 40GB hard drive (or 60GB if you like). Moreover, measures 190 x 121 x 30mm and weighs 780 grams, it is also equipped with a 1.3 megapixel CMOS webcam, WiFI connectivity, and a 1024×768 (WVGA) TFT LCD monitor with LED backlight. The battery itself lasts for up to 3 hours.

One more laptop for today. This one is called “W251U” and it’s developed by Gigabyte. Available in Korea market through G-Style online store (link below), the 12.1-inch baby comes with a price tag of 940,000 (KRW). It weighs 1.85kg and sports an Intel Core Duo T5300 CPU, a 1GB of RAM, a 120GB of SATA hard drive, a SuperMulti DVD burner, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 1.3MP webcam module.

Here’s the latest handset from Gigabyte, the GSmart q60 model. And thanks to the company, they’ve just made the world of smartphone more colorful. Check out one of its unique features — dotted texture keypad which looks like a LEGO blocks. It does make the keypad feel a little weird to touch though, but at least q60 comes with a QWERTY-style pad, which is wayyyy much convenient the standard phone keypad design. Runs on the latest Windows Mobile 6 operating system, this cell phone sports a 2.5-inch display, an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module with autofocus, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivities, and 520Mhz Intel PXA270 processor.

Runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 3.0 operating system, this cell phone comes in an elegant silver cases complimented with a modern retro accent. Features include a 2.4-inch touch screen display, a numeric keypad, navigation keypad, a 256MB of onboard memory, a 64MB of of ROM, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, media player, and a built-in TV tuner with direct recording capability. The phone also supports variety of connectivity options, such as Bluetooth, Infrared, WiFI, and USB.

One of its remarkable feature is called Wise Talk. This function will help you avoid unwanted call by simulating a background noises when answering a call. For example, you can add a busy traffic sound so no one would find out that you’re relaxing at spa.
