byd:sign has just released DP-1001DW, a great digital photo frame that comes with an “all-in-one” tagline. I’m not really sure what else do you expect from a digital frame other than properly display your digital pictures collection, but the company figured out that everyone would also need a TV tuner capability inside their photo frame… along with the now-standard MP3 and video player functions.

Technically speaking, DP-1001DW digital photo frame features a 10.2-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 800×480, a brightness of 300cd/m2, and a contrast ratio of 300:1; support for MP3, MPG, and XVid media formats, clock, alarm, and a 1Seg Digital TV tuner with EGP support. Well, on the bright side, you can always turn on the TV whenever you get bored seeing your own face…

Samsung V, P, and H Series Digital Photo Frame

Three new digital photo frames have been unleashed by Samsung — the 7-inch V series, the 8-inch P series, and finally, the 10-inch H series. All of those sport wireless connectivity, Windows Live Space support, built-in RSS feeds reader, a 1GB of onboard memory, MP3 player, digital clock, and calendar. Nice!

Transcend T.Photo 720 Digital Photo Frame

Transcend Japan unleashed its new digital photo frame, the T.Photo 720, yesterday. Priced at €105 (about $164), the device comes with a 7-inch TFT LCD (800×400 resolution) and features a 2GB of onboard storage, built-in stereo speakers, clock, calendar, and FM radio tuner. You can expand the storage capacity by using any media card (microSD/SD/SDHC/MMC/MS/M2/CF), as well as listen to MP3 song and playback movies (3GP, AVI, MOV, MJPEG, MPG, MP4).

Transcend T.Photo 720 Digital Photo Frame will start hitting the market in the middle of July.

Sony CP1 Canvas Digital Photo Frame

Sony recently unveiled CP1 Canvas, a digital photo frame featuring a 7-inch (800×480) display, memory card slot (CF / MS / SD), WiFI b/g connectivity, and support for both audio (MP3 / WAV) and picture files (JPEG / BMP / PNG / GIF). On the inside, it is powered by a 400Mhz i.MX31 ARM11 processor and Linux 2.6.19 operating system.

Samsung SPF-83M Digital Photo Frame

A new digital photo frame will be soon retailed in Japan by Samsung, the SPF-83M. These frame has previously made its way to Europe, China, and several other countries with great success. It can display both video (MPEG-1 and MPEG-4) and photo (JPEG) files on its 8-inch 800×600 SVGA display. If you want, you can also hear your favourite music using SPF-83M, as long as they are on WMV9, MP3, and WMA9 formats. Other features include a contrast ratio of 500:1 and a brightness of 200cd/m2.

PhotoVu PV1965w Digital Photo Frame

While most digital picture frames are small, PhotoVu wants to stand from the crowd by developing a large 19-inch widescreen digital photo frame called PV1965w. This frame comes with a 16:10 viewing format and a wireless connectivity, allowing it to directly display photos from your PC with no wired attached. It is currently available for $1,199 which is pretty expensive for a frame. However, you can keep $200 out of it if you order the non-wireless version, PV1965 model.

Thomson TPF7071 Photo Frame

This news reminds me of my digital photo frame from Google AdSense which doesn’t work very well (ie: it won’t display images uploaded from PC). With that billion of dollar profit, at the very least the company can give me something that work properly, right? So anyway, what about this “TPF7071″ from Thomson? Well, like ordinary digital photo frame, this one can display photos as well as playback your MP3 song collection. You can see the picture on its 7-inch display (480×234, 262K colors, 350cd/m2 brightness) and hear the music via its built-in speaker. The media files themself can be stored either on a USB disk or a media cards (CF/SD/MMC/MS/MSP).

Apart from the lack of video playback, Thomson’s TPF7071 digital photo frame looks just fine. Interested?

[CES] i-Mate Momento 70 Digital Photo Frame With Vista Technology

During CES 2007, i-Mate unveiled Momento 70 (no relation with Philips Design’s Momento Glass Ball), a digital photo frame supporting Windows Vista, including the cool Vista SideShow technology that utilizes a secondary display on the device for additional information. It features a 7-inch TFT LCD display with 800×400 resolution, WiFI connectivity, a USB port, and a 5-in-1 media card reader (SD/MMC/xD/SmartMedia/Memory Stick). And like other similar devices on the market, this photo frame can also playback music files (WMA, MP3) and has built-in clock and calendar functions.
