The Prime Convertible AP400 from Doosa A-One Pro, a Korea-based manufacturer, is an interesting tablet PC looks-a-like electronic dictionary. Users can use the pocket dictionary in both keyboard mode or tablet mode like those convertible laptops outthere. Cool, isn’t it? The dictionary itself comes with 103 different references, with 41 of them are dedicated to the English language. For extra functionalities, AP400 can playback your MP3 song collections as well. Unfortunately, no detail about the storage though.

[CEATEC] Sharp and IBM Present Japanese – English Translator

Together with IBM, Sharp presented its latest two-way pocket translator that comes with (only) Japanese and English languages dictionary. Thanks to its built-in microphone, you don’t have to waste your energy to type the words. All you have to do is simply saying the words, in English for example, and the device will automatically display the Japanese translation right away. Probably not the best tool to learn Japanese language, but it’d definitely come in handy when you travel to Japan without proper language skill.
