Asus Eee PC 1008HA netbook is now available worldwide. Dubbed as “SeaShell“, this 10-inch mini laptop offer an Intel Atom N280 (1.66Ghz) processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 160GB of hard drive, Bluetooth, and a WSVGA LED backlight display. SeaShell was first introduced during CeBit 2009 event and it sports a beautiful design with a nice color combination that reminds us to the beach. Weighs at just 1.1kg, the netbook also features an ergonomically designed keyboard, intelligent energy management system and an intuitive multi-touch touch-pad. No words on pricing.

Asus is going to broaden the market of its popular EEE PC series mini laptop with the upcoming Gold EEE PC 900A. Of course, that doesn’t mean the company would re-create the whole laptop using gold material (only the cover will be painted in gold layer), but those high-mobility professionals who care about exclusivity would probably love it. Regarding its specs, the netbook boasts the same sets as EEE PC 900 model.

Another EEE PC has been released by Asus Japan. Retailed with a price tag of 59,800 Yen (about $564), EEE PC 901-X is powered by Intel Atom N270 (1.60Ghz) processor and Windows XP operating system. Features include an 8.9-inch display (1024 x 600), a 12GB of SSD, a 1GB of main memory, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, Bluetooth, wireless LAN, and up to 8.3 hours of battery life.

Asus EEE PC 900 16G mini laptop is now available for pre-order through Excaliber PC (link below). As its model name stated, this low-cost ultraportable machie comes with a 16GB of storage, along with a 8.9-inch display and either Windows XP or Linux OS. Weighs 2.2 pounds, the netbook features an Intel Celeron processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 802.11b/g WiFI connectivity, an integrated webcam module, and a 4-cell battery.

The XP version of EEE PC 16G is retailed for $449, while the Linux edition costs $100 cheaper. Both available in two colors: black and white.

Asus “Handwriting Pad” is a USB tablet for the popular Eee PC (looks like the company is getting serious to raise this baby). Showcased during Computex 2008, the pad allows to input text directly by using its pen. Measures 110 x 113 x 18mm, the pad is able to recognize the following text: english, chinese, alphabet, numeric, and symbol.

The latter comes with a different storage device than most of the company’s ultraportable notebook. Instead of SSD (Solid State Disk), this one is equipped with a traditional 80GB hard drive. Not sure why Asus decide to use HDD instead of SSD for this model…

Other features include an Intel Atom processor, a 2GB of main memory, an integrated 1.3 megapixel web camera, Bluetooth, 802.11n WiFI, and either Linux or Windows XP operating system. It weighs 3.2 pounds and its battery provides up to 7 hours of continous usage.

We’ve previously posted about Eee PC 901, so it’s time for the 10-inch Asus Eee Pc 1000. Comes with a price tag of $658 in Taiwan market, the 2.93-pounds baby features an Intel Atom processor, a 40GB Solid State Disk (SSD), a 2GB of main memory, an integrated 1.3MP webcam module, and a 7.5 hours of battery life. Two connectivity options are available: Bluetooth and 802.11 wireless. As for the OS, you’d get Linux inside.

The Eee PC 901 model is the successor of the low-cost 8.9-inch Eee PC 900 mini notebook PC. Weighs 2.42-pounds, Eee PC 901 is powered by an Intel Atom processor, a 1GB of main memory, Bluetooth, and 802.11n WiFI connectivity. It is also equipped with an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module and a battery that lasts for up to 7.8 hours.

Customers can choose between a 12GB SSD and pre-installed Windows XP Home edition; or a 20GB SSD and Linux OS. With that one gig of RAM, WinXP is a better choice I guess.

Asus Eee PC 901 mini laptop is retailed at around $559 in Taiwan. No words on international pricing.

Asus has started to expand its line of Eee products with a new accessories. Spotted during Computex Taipei 2008 event, this one is called Eee Game Stick and without a doubt, you can expect a few more pre-installed games on upcoming Eee PCs release, especially those fully-utilized the stick capabilities. Unfortunately, there’s no information yet whether the game stick will be available separately or bundled with any Eee PC package.

Oh, btw, incase you didn’t notice, Asus Eee Game Stick is “inspired” by the innovative Wii nun-chuck.

ASUSTek recently unveiled three more colors to their EEE PC 4G-X laptop (or UMPC). They are Sky Blue, Rush Green, and Brush Pink. As for the 4G-X itself, it sports a 800 x 480 (WVGA) display, a 4GB of SSD (Solid State Disk), and up to 2GB of main memory. This laptop will be soon released in Japan starting from May 3rd.
