While Toshiba isn’t on my list of favourite notebook manufacturer, I must admit that this Dynabook Qosmio WXW series laptop looks really gorgeous — cool red-colored hood with wonderful body design. Obviously targetted hardcore gamers market, the laptop has just been upgraded with higher specs. Including a 2.66Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T9550 processor, a 1GB nVidia GeForce 9800M GTS graphics engine, a DVD SuperMulti drive, and either a 128GB SSD or a 160GB of hard drive storage. A standard configuration with 2GB of main memory would cost you around 280,000 Yen or about €2,435 (around US $3,129). I just wish Toshiba would make more laptop like this one…

Fans of Toshiba’s laptop would love to hear this news. One of their popular notebook series, the Dynabook SS RX2 laptop, recently got a specs and price update. The new specs will now include a 1.2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, either a 128GB of SSD or a 160GB of hard drive, a 3GB of main memory (only 2GB in previous specs), a 12.1-inch WXGA display with a brightness of 250cd/m2 (the old model has only 200cd/m2), and a 30% smaller AC adapter. There’s also an optional WAN module that works with KDDI AU Network using the CDMA 1X WIN network… which is unfortunately, won’t work overseas. Too bad…

On the bright side, the new Dynabook SS RX2 laptop comes with a slightly cheaper price than the original… Well, like everyone said, a coin always has two faces…

Toshiba is one of the most popular laptop’s brand in my country, Indonesia. I don’t know, but people here seem to love it very much. Including my father, who also owned a Toshiba’s notebook (I don’t quite remember its sub-brand and model number) until last year… when a thief broke into our house and stole the laptop… Anyway, here’s the new Dynabook NX series laptop from Toshiba, sporting an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, a 12.1-inch WXGA display, a 3GB of main memory, and a 128GB of SSD (160GB and 250GB HDD version are also available). Not sure about the price, but this machine can already be found on Japan store with three variant of colors — Glossy Black, Noble White, and Lotus Pink.

Toshiba has just unleashed the new Dynabook Satellite PXW series laptop in Japan. Two models are available immediately, the PXW/55GW and PXW/57GW. The former comes with a 15.4-inch (1280×800, WXGA) resolution, a 2GHz Intel Celeron 575 processor, an Intel GL40 Express chipset, a 2GB of main memory (upgradeable up to 4GB), a 160GB of hard drive, and a DVD SuperMulti burner. It is also equipped with a media card reader, three USB ports, and WIFI connectivity. The notebook is retailed for around €800 (about $1,064).

As for Satellite PXW/57GW laptop, it has almost similar configuration, with better CPU, a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400. This one can be purchased for €930 or around $1,237.

Toshiba introduced a new Dynabook series, the Dynabook NX laptop. This notebook family features a 12.1-inch LED backlight display with WXGA (1280×800) resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor (1.20GHz), a 2GB of main memory (expandable up to 3GB), a 128GB of SSD (or 160GB of SATA HDD if you prefer), a DVD SuperMulti burner, a 802.11b/g/n WiFI connectivity, SD media card slot, e-SATA port, and three USB ports. Not bad.

Toshiba Dynabook NX laptop will be retailed for around €1,200 (about $1,721) for the HDD version and €1,930 (about $2,768) for the SSD version. Quite expensive.

Toshiba Japan presented its new summer lineup yesterday — the Qosmio F40, Dynabook AX, Dynabook TX, and Dynabook CX laptops. Let’s start with the Qosmio F40 (F40/84FBL) first. This 15.4-inch notebook is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor, an Intel GN965 Express chipset, a 2GB of main memory, a 160GB of hard drive. It comes with SuperMulti DVD burner (yeah, no more HD-DVD) and HDMI output. The price is set at €1,352 or about $2,135.

Available in three flavours — black, white, and pink — the Dynabook AX laptop features a 15.4-inch WXGA display, an Intel Celeron 550 CPU, a 2GB of RAM, a 160GB of HDD, a DVD SuperMulti, and HDMI out. All for €922 ($1,456).

Next is the Dynabook TX. This $1,737 (€1,100) notebook comes with a 2.1Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor, a 2GB of RAM, a 200GB of storage, a 15.4-inch WXGA display, a DVD SuperMulti and a HDMI out.

Finally, the 13.3-inch Dynabook CX laptop sports an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100, an Intel GM965 Express chipset, a 2GB of main memory, a 160GB of hard drive, a DVD SuperMulti drive, and a HDMI out. This one is retailed for €1,230 or US $1,942.

Toshiba is going to release a brand new member of its Dynabook RX1 series laptop in Japan market. The 12-inch Dynabook RX1 SE120E/2W, the name of the new notebook PC, sports a 1.20Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 processor, a resolution of 1280×800 (WXGA), and a 64GB SSD (Solid State Disk). If you travel a lot, you can also bring this machine without worry, since it comes with a shockproof mechanism, guaranteeing no data would be damaged upon accidental shock.

Toshiba Dynabook RX1 SE120E/2W laptop will be retailed for 551,460 Yen or around US $5,173.

Well, gamers has another option to choose from. If they don’t like TG Sambo’s new Averatec laptops, at least they can take a look at Toshiba’s newest ultimate gaming machine, the “Dynabook Satellite WXW/79DW” laptop. This 17-inch monster, part of Satellite WXW series laptop, offers a widescreen display with 1680×1050 (WSXGA+) resolution, a 4GB of main memory, and dual 160GB HDD in RAID mode. The machine is powered by a fast and powerful Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 (2.4GHz) processor, combined with two SLI-ed GeForce 8600M GT graphics engines. Wow!

Toshiba’s Dynabook Satellite WXW/79DW laptop is expected to hit the store with a price tag of at least 1900€.

Toshiba has been quite busy lately by releasing several new products. Here goes another one, the Dynabook Satellite WXW laptop. Measures 399 x 288 x 52mm and weighs 3.9kg, this 17-inch laptop is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 (2GHz) processor, an Intel PM965 Express chipset, a 1GB of main memory (expandable up to 4GB), a DVD-DL burner, and a 120GB of hard drive. The display is supported by a 256MB GeForce 8700GT graphics engine with HDMI and DirectX 10 support, and it is capable of showing image with up to 1680×1050 resolution. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel webcam module and a 4.1-ch Harman Kardon stereo speakers.

Toshiba Dynabook Satellite WXW will be released in Japan with a price tag of €1460 or about $1,800.

With just 19.5mm thick, Toshiba’s latest laptop under its Satellite saga, the “Dynabook SS RX1″, offers a nice combination between a small yet strong device and a powerful machine. The laptop can survive accidental drop from up to 4 foot height as well as accidental water drip for up to 100cc, thanks to the incorporation of unit support structural design and Toshiba HDD protection. On the specs department, Toshiba Dynabook SS RX1 seris laptop features an Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 (1.06GHz) processor, a 1GB of main memory, an Intel 945GMS chipset, a 12.1-inch display with WXGA (1280×800) resolution, WiFI connectivity, biometric fingerprint reader, and SD media card slot. Three configurations are currently available, with the differences lay on the hard drive and optical drive: 64GB SSD-HDD/DVD burner, 80GB HDD/DVD burner, 80GB HDD/HD-DVD. The price is respectively set at 380,000 Yen (around $3,125), 220,000 Yen (around $1,800), and 250,000 Yen (around $2,054). Expect them in Japan market on late June.
