Samsung Electronics has just released the new YP-P2 DMB Player in Korea market. As its name suggested, the player comes with built-in T-DMB (Terrestrial – Digital Media Broadcast) receiver, allowing users to watch satellite broadcasted digital content. To enhance users viewing experiences, the company incorporated their proprietary mDNIe (mobile Digital Natural Image engine) technology that delivers more vibrant colors and optimal contrast ratio.

Available in two colors (black and white), Samsung YP-P2 DMB features a 3-inch (16:9) wide touchscreen display and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity with Bluetooth-enabled cell phones compatibility. Measures 11.9-mm thickness, the device comes in three different capacity variants: 4GB (239,000 Won), 8GB (309,000 Won), and 16GB (389,000 Won).

Inkel, a Korea-based manufacturer, proudly presented “MU-D”, a multimedia and learning combo device. Being a dictionary, it offers a Korea – English language, while as an entertainment device, it boasts a built-in media player, and an integrated DMB (Digital Media Broadcast) receiver. Other features include Microsoft WinCE 5.0 operating system, a 4.3-inch display with 480×272 resolution, a 4GB onboard storage, and a SDHC media card slot (up to 12GB supported).

No words on pricing at the moment, but MU-D Multimeda Dictionary would surely be available in Korea though.

Viliv’s brand new X5 AIO combines a mobile entertainment and a portable satnav onto one single 700Mhz AU1250’s powered device. Expected to hit the store in March, it sports a bright and clear 800×480 (WVGA) touch screen, providing a convenient display for watching movie and navigating the maps. X5 AIO comes with a built-in GPS antenna, along with an integrated DMB receiver and support for various popular multimedia formats. By using the provided miniUSB and USB interfaces, users can transfer their media files (and maps data) onto its onboard storage — two version are currently available, 30GB and 60GB. And one last thing, users can also purchase the Wi-Max add-on module and add internet browsing capability onto the device. Wow!

TG recently preseted Favicon, a Semi Portable Navigation Device (SPND) featuring TPEG (Transport Protocol Expert Group) support for real-time traffic information and Dual DMB receiver with PIP (Picture-In-Picture) for watching two TV channels at the same time. Powered by Windows Vista operating system, this all-in-one PMP-DMB-Navigation combo device also boasts a 532Mhz Freescale processor (i.MX31), a 4GB of onboard memory with SD media card slot for additional storage, a 7-inches WVGA display, and of course, mutimedia (audio + video + text reader) playback capabilities.

TG Favicon SPND is retailed for 399.000 Won or about US$422.

Priced at 479,000 (KRW), Inkel’s Wide Touch W-700 GPS Navigation sports an integrated T-DMB receiver (for watching satellite broadcasted movie), a TPEG (Transport Protocol Expert Group support (for receiving real-time traffic information), and SiRF III chipset. It is powered by a 360Mhz (+300Mhz) dual-core processor and a 128MB of DDR SDRAM, both guarantee a fast and powerful perfomance. Other features include a 7-inch 800×480 (WVGA) display, Mappy United map software, text viewer, and digital photo frame functions.

Along with W-700, Inkel also introduces “Wide Touch W-700B” model for a 500,000 (KRW).

“D5″ is a brand new dual-DMB navigation from Hyon. Recently introduced in Korea market, this device comes with a DMB module that integrates both T-DMB and S-DMB receivers into one (a world’s first incase you didn’t know). Inside a compact 22mm-thick box. Side-by-side with SiRF III GPS chipset. Neat, huh?

Regarding specs, Hyon D5 DMB GPS features a MagicEyes MP2531F (MMSP2+L) processor, Samsung’s 800×480 (WVGA) display, built-in 1.5w dual-speaker, and an integrated DMB antenna. Two capacity variants are available at the moment: 2GB (490,000 Won / $520 / 362 EUR) and 4GB (530,000 Won / $552 / 384 EUR).

Here goes the latest GPS navigation from Viliv, “Viliv X7″, which just released in Korea market. This satnav device is powered by a 600Mhz AU1240 processor and boasts a 7-inch display with a resolution of 800×480 and a touchscreen user interface, as well as standard DVD/DivX port, karaoke function, multimedia player, and support for rear view camera. The maps (supposedly pre-loaded with Korea region maps) can be displayed in realistic 3D view, making it more easier to recognize place and destination. Moreover, the company also kind enough to include a DMB receiver, giving the possibility to watch satellite broadcasted digital content on-the-go.

Viliv X7 GPS Navigation, with a 4GB of onboard storage, is retailed for 500,000 (KRW) or about $540.

A slim and metallic satnav device has been unleashed by Thinkware to Korea market. Called “iNavi ES 100″, this GPS boasts a 7-inch (800×480) touchscreen display, media player (music and video) with karaoke function, built-in games, dynamic PIP (Picture in Picture) function, TPEG service, and built-in DMB (Digital Media Broadcast) receiver. It is powered by a 500Mhz processor and comes with an orange-color LED and an AV-IN port that provides connectivity to other devices, such as rear-view camera and external hard drive.

Thinkware iNavi ES 100 DMB GPS is retailed for 449,000 (KRW) for the 2GB version. Or you can go double if you pay an an extra 250,000 (KRW).

Here goes one of the latest DMB phone from Samsung, the SCH-B710 model. With its built-in receiver, the phone can receive satellite broadcasted media via both S-DMB (Satellite – Digital Media Broadcast) and T-DMB (Terrestrial – Digital Media Broadcast) networks. It supports PIP (Picture In Picture) function, so users can watch 2 channel simultaneously on the handset’s 2.2-inch display. This display is swivelable, which means, users can arrange the screen to find the most convenient position. Other features include an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module and Bluetooth connectivity.

Samsung SCH-B710 cell phone is currently retailed at $650 in Korea market.

Pantech unleashed a new slim phone in Korea, the S230. This cell phone has integrated DMB (Digital Media Broadcast) receiver, allowing user to watch commercials satellite broadcasted TV programme. Among its competitors, S230 is one of the slimmest mobile TV phone with just 9.9mm thick. Other features include an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, built-in MP3 player, a 2.2-inch display, and dictionary program.
