Evergreen EG-D2500CX DivX DVD Player

Evergreen presents EG-D2500CX, a compact DVD player that can take care of your DivX, JPEG, WMA, MP3, and DVDs collection. It is PAL/NTSC Zone Free and support CPRM (Content Protection for Recordable Media) as well. Moreover, the player measures at just 224 x 230 x 50mm and can be purchased for just $55 which is quite affordable.

IMHO, if you don’t have a good stereo system (5.1ch at the very least), I don’t think there’s much different between various DVD player’s models. Me and my sister have used several different models in the last two years, from less to widely popular brand, and all of them have almost the same quality. So I think EG-D2500CX is not an exception.

Sarotech DVP-370S DivX Player

A Korea-based manufacturer named Sarotech has just upgraded its DVP-370 DivX Player with the newest model, DVP-370S. The difference with its predecessor? Well, the new one comes with support for SATA (both SATA and SATA II) hard drive. And that’s it. The rest of the features are remain intact, including a 5.1-channel sound engine, 3MU files playback, and support for HD video.

Samsung Ultra Video F500 Cell Phone With DivX Support

Samsung recently unveiled three new Ultra cell phones at the ITU Telecom World 2006 event in Hongkong – the Ultra Messaging i600, Ultra Video F500, and Ultra Music F300. Let’s start with the Ultra Video F500 handset. This phone doesn’t carry the name of “video” for nothing. It is the world’s first mobile phone that has built-in support for DivX codex, along with MPEG-4, H.264, WMV, and AVI media formats. Its 2.4-inch colors LCD screen isn’t the largest on the market, but at least it does the job by displaying a bright and clear images.

Other highlighted feature is the design itself. The F500 cell phone comes with a dual faces, one side is the phone, while the other one has a large screen and dedicated multimedia controls. It also has a unique swivel design for mulimedia purpose, in which the screen swivels away from the controls to adjust the viewing angle or form a stand to place the device down.

Furthermore, Samsung Ultra Video F500 is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera module, a 400MB of onboard memory, and a microSD card slot which supports up to 4GB card. No words on pricing and availability of the cell phone yet.

[WPC] Toshiba Presents TDP-ET20 DLP Video Projector

Toshiba displays its new DLP video projector at the WPC Expo 2006. The TDP-ET20 is a DVD-equipped projector which supports HQV (Holywood Quality Video), DivX, and Dolby 5.1 sound system. It has a resolution 854×480, a brightness of 1100 lumens, a contrast ratio of 2500:1, a sound level of 34dB, and a HDMI port. Furthermore, the projector itself is an ESP (Extreme Short Projector). Means, it is able to display an image on a 100�? screen at a distance of 1.3m.

Rapsody DMB – World’s First DivX Player With T-DMB Receiver

Rapsody DMB (shouldn’t it be Rhapsody?) is the world’s first DivX player to include a T-DMB receiver. The manufacturer, Dacos Technology, planned to release this mlti-codecs video (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4) and audio (MP3, OGG, Vorbix, WMA) player this month. You can store bunch of movie, music, or photo files on its HDD. And don’t forget, with the T-DMB receiver, you can watch satellite TV broadcast as well as an access to other DMB/DAM services. Other features include Virtual DVD playback (DVD image file?) and portable USB storage.

Pentax Optio S6 – DivX Compatible Digital Camera

Another cool camera emerges – Pentax Optio S6. Why cool? Because this 6-megapixels digital camera capable of recording 30fps VGA (640×480) video into the DivX (v5.2.1) format. You can see the photo on the 2.5″ LCD. As for technical specification, the digital camera measures 83.4×19x53.5 and weighs 120g.
