Measures 103.3 x 59.3 x 36.5mm and weighs 241 grams, Panasonic DMC-TZ5 digital camera boasts a 10.7 megapixel CCD sensor, a 10x optical zoom lens (28 ~ 280mm wide angle, F3.3 ~ 4.9), up to ISO6400, a 50MB of onboard memory, and video recording at 720p HD resolution @ 30fps. It has been released recently in Japan but no words on worldwide availability yet.

One more new digital camera from Olympus. Under its μ (read: miu) series, this one is the “μ1030SW” model. It comes with a 10 megapixel CCD sensor and a strong resistant compact body that can survive accidental drop (up to 2m of height), heavy pressure (up to 100kg weight), and underwater (down to 10 metres). Could be an ideal camera for people who wander a lot outdoor.

Claimed as the world’s first digital camera with 20x optical zoom lens, the 10-megapixel “Camedia SP-570UZ” from Olympus sports a 5x digital zoom, a 26mm ~ 520mm ultra-wide angle, an up to ISO6400 ISO range, a 2.7-inch 230K-colors LCD, and a 45MB of onboard storage. It incorporated Olympus’ proprietary “TruePic III” image processing engine and supports AVI video recording at 640×480 @ 30fps as well.

Measures 118.5 x 87.5 x 84mm and weighs 445 grams, Olympus Camedia SP-570UZ digital camera only used 4 AA batteries to juice itself up.

Canon recently announced the release of “iVIS FS10″, its latest 10.7 megapixel camcorder with dual flash memory support — an 8GB onboard flash drive and SDHC media card slot. Scheduled to hit the store in late April, the handycam sports a 48x Advanced zoom lens, a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD, and up to 5 hours of video recording. No words on pricing though.

Along with FinePix F100fd, Fujifilm is also going to release another new digital camera, the “FinePix S100FS”. Priced at around 100,000 Yen, the 11.1 megapixel digicam sports a 28mm~400mm F2.8-F5.3 14.3x optical zoom lens, a 2.5-inch LCD monitor, and up to ISO 3200 sensitivity. By using this camera, you can take up to 50 photos repeatedly at 7 frames per second and then choose one you like the best. Nice huh? However, you have to wait until the end of February before you can purchase this baby.

Priced at 45,000 Yen (about $422), the new FinePix F100fd digital camera from Fujifilm sports a 12 megapixel CCD, a 2.7-inch 230k colors LCD monitor, up to ISO 3200 sensitivty, and 17mm~140mm F3.3-F5.1 5x optical zoom lens. According to the company, this camera is released to commemorate FinePix’s 10th anniversary. If interested, wait for it as early as March in Japan market.

“K200D” is the new 10.2 megapixel DSLR camera from Pentax. It sports an up to 1600 ISO, image stabilizer function, and a large 2.7-inch widescreen LCD. It comes with the company’s proprietary Shake Reduction mechanism, which reduces camera shake for sharp, blur-free images even under demanding shooting conditions, such as shooting with a telephoto lens, shooting in low light conditions or at night without supplementary flash illumination, or using extended exposures for sunset scenes. There’s also an Auto Picture mode that automatically sets the most appropriate shooting mode (such as Portrait, Landscape and Macro) for a given subject or situation, as well as the new Custom Image function — lets the user select one of the six modes and adjust an image’s processing to their preference by automatically adjusting tone, saturation, contrast, and sharpness — and a user-friendly Dust Removal system — prevent dust from sticking to the surface of the CMOS image sensor (or low-pass filter).

Pentax K200D DSLR Camera will hit the store in March 2008 and will be retailed with a price tag of $129.

The “HDR-HC9″ handycam from Sony boasts a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 10x optical zoom lens, a 3.2 megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor, a 6.1 megapixel still-image capture, a 2.7-inch touchscreen display, and a SuperSteadyShot function. According to the company’s press release, this digital video camcorder is based on HDV format which support 1440 x 1080 HD video recording to standard mini DV tape. The recorded movie will be compatible with a wide-range of video editing suites. It will be shipped in February and retailed for about $1,100.

This model offers extensive manual controls to meet the demands of advanced videographers, including “focus to infinity;� spot meter and focus to change exposure and focus at the same point at the same time; center mark to use as a guide frame in the LCD screen or viewfinder; and peaking to facilitate better focusing by outlining objects with a color line. White balance, shutter speed and focus can also be adjusted manually.

Previously announced on September, the Cyber-Shot T200 Digital Camera boasts an 8.1 megapixel CCD sensor, a generous 3.5-inch touchscreen display, up to ISO 3200 sensitivity, a 31MB onboard memory, and a beatiful Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens. It also sports Sony’s proprietary Face Detection technology that automatically control focus, exposure, color, and flash to bring out the best of everyone (on the photo).

Sony is going to release the new member of its Cyber-Shot family, the Cyber-Shot S730 digital camera, starting from mid January in Europe market. The light and compact 7.2 megapixel camera will sport a 2.4-inch display, a 3x optical zoom lens, up to 1250 ISO sensivity, and multi-point autofocus function.
