Cowon has just upgraded its popular D2 PMP device and presented D2+. Weighs 91 grams and measures 78 x 55.4 x 16.6mm, the all-new compact portable media player boasts a 2.5-inch QVGA display, a SDHC media card slot (up to 32GB SDHC card supported), audio/video playback, and up to 16GB of onboard memory. Compared to the original version, the D2+ offers better battery life, along with improved LCD, new calculator function, better user interface, and several other new features, such as notepad and direct radio recording.

Two versions are currently available, one with built-in DMB tuner and other without the ability to watch digital TV on-the-go. Each has four different flavours — pink, white, blue, and black silver.

Measures 55.4 x 20 x 10.5mm and weighs 10 grams, Green-House Kana-Micro MP3 Player (model number: GH-KANAMR) is your little, portable friend on the go. This device can play MP3, WMA, and WMA DRM audio formats stored inside its 2GB MicroSD media card. Unfortunately, you can only have the music for up to 2 hours, so, if you plan to take a long journey, you might consider taking iPod instead…

Kana-Micro DAP is currently available in seven different flavours as shown on the image below — white, blue, green, red, pink, purple, and orange. As you can see, all of them have a neat transparent case which make ‘em a little bit fashionable…

Sansa Fuze is the next portable mp3 player from Sandisk which will be released very soon this week. This slim digital audio player features up to 8GB of built-in storage, photo viewer function, an integrated FM radio tuner, e-book viewer, and built-in microSD/SDHC media card slot. Its battery provides up to 24 hours of music playback and up to 5 hours of video. If interested, Fuze will be available in four flavours (red, pink, blue, and black) and retailed for $79.99 (2GB), $99.99 (4GB), and $119.99 (8GB).

Kenwood introduced their new digital audio players in Japan, MG-E Media-Keg Series. Available in two capacity variants (2GB and 4GB), the device offers support for MP3, WMA, and AAC audio formats, a 1.5-inch OLED display, and a microSD media card slot. You can assure that the DAP provides excellent audio quality, thanks to the improved DAC. Measures 92.5 x 41 x 11.8mm and weighs 43 grams, its battery lasts for up to 54 hours.

Creative has just introduced the new Zen Crystal Digital Audio Player. Measures 57 x 37 x 10.8mm, this compact MP3 player sports a 4GB of onboard storage, a built-in FM radio tuner, a blue OLED display, and a built-in pedometer. It plays both MP3 and WMA audio files. If interested, this baby is available on Creative’s Hong Kong website for around 55€ ($87).

Measures 61 x 46 x 20mm and weighs 35 grams, iRiver’s Aquabeat MP3 Player sports a 1GB of storage, up to 9 hours of playback, and support for MP3 and WMA audio files. The player is waterproof as well, means you can still listen to the music while taking a bath or swimming. You can own this device for just 14,800 Yen (about $138) a piece starting from the fourth of July.

Along with YP-P2 DMB Player, Samsung Korea also unveiled the new YP-S3 Portable MP3 Player. Being the successor of the popular YP-K3 DAP, the new baby incorporates the upgraded version of the company’s proprietary Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe 2.0), guarantee a crisp and clear sound through their ears. Thanks to the twelve presets audio EQ (incl. Concert Hall, Studio, and Rock), users receive more outstanding sound quality. Add that with several impressive features, such as Street Mode (assists the listener in noisy environments) and adjustable EQ, 3D Sound, and Bass Boost.

Moreover, YP-S3 DAP also comes with bult-in FM radio tuner, allowing users to listen and even record their favourite radio station. Like other modern player, this one is able to display photos, play video clips, and view text as well. And if you need a secondary alarm to wake you up in the morning, YP-S3 has it.

Sony YP-S3 MP3 player is available in five different colors (black, white, red, green, and blue) and three different storage capacities (2GB, 4GB, and 8GB). Price is set at 89,000 Won ($86) and 100,900 Won ($97) respectively.

iRiver recently announced the availability of its latest digital audio player, Volcano T7. Available in either 2GB or 4GB version, the player can play your MP3/WMA/ASF/OGG audio collection. There’s a small OLED display providing couple info about the player. Along with listening to the music, you can also record your own voice, thanks to its built-in sound recorder capability. Moreover, its USB 2.0 interface allows seamless connectivity with your PC or laptop.

Other features include a built-in FM radio tuner, SRS WOW, and an 8-preset equalizer. The 2GB version is retailed for €35 (around $54), while the 4GB Volcano T7 can be purchased for €50 (around $77). Both models come in five different colors: white, black, pink, blue, and chocolate

If you want to buy Zune but haven’t bought it yet, well, I suggest you wait until June 17th. On that day, a limited edition of Zune called “Joy-Division-Themed” will be released. That PMP was designed by Peter Saville, artist of Factory Records, and will feature an 80GB of hard drive. And since it’s available as a limited edition (only 500 units will be produced), you know what to do… move FAST before it’s too late.

Zune Joy-Division-Themed PMP is retailed for €260 (about $405) and can be ordered through Zune official website.

Samsung recently announced the release date for its new S2 Digital Audio Player. Those whose interested on this mini player can start saving today and purchase the baby later on June. The price is €30 ($46) for the 1GB version and €40 ($63) for the 2GB one.

Features include support for MP3/WMA/OGG audio format, Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe™) technology. three play modes (normal, shuffle, favourite), lanyard earphone, Simple Control buttons, and LED dimming mode. Measures 42 x 42 x 16mm and weighs 17.2 grams, Samsung S2 DAP is available in five different colors: white, red, green, purple, and black.
