It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 processor and a 2GB PC3-10666 RAM, promising a powerful and high-speed perfomance. While the 768MB GeForce 8800 GTX graphic engine delivers fast high-quality graphics on the screen, the 10,000rpm 150GB of Western Digital Raptor (WD1500ADFD) hard drive avoids the bottleneck on the storage’s side. Of course, 150GB isn’t much nowadays, that’s why you can have an additional 500GB HDD (@ 7,200rpm) if you want. With an extra expense of course.

Other features include an X38 Express chipset, a DVD burner, a 10-in-1 media card reader, and pre-installed Windows Vista Ultimate Edition operating system.

Priced at a nice $3,700, Dell’s latest gaming machine, the XPS 710, is full of impressive features. To start with, it has the most advanced Intel’s Core 2 processor inside, the 2.66GHz Core 2 Extreme QX6700. Thanks God, with this superb processing engine, multithreading applications will run smoothly. Gamers love to play with bigger display, and so there goes the 30-inch Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC LCD monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA) and a response time of 8ms.

Dell also realizes that hardware technology changes rapidly. That’s way the Vista ready XPS 710 Desktop PC provides four expansion slots, along with two graphic slots (SLI anyone?) and huge spaces for four hard drives and two optical drives. It also included a 750W power supply so the monster can still breath even when it carries a pack of four HDDs.
