Fujitsu recently landed its LifeBook P1630 tablet PC in US. This lightweight convertible laptop comes with a 8.9-inch touchscreen display and pen-input capability, allowing you to write note and draw directly from its monitor using pen input. Priced at $2,179, it is powered by an Intel Centrino 2 platform, a WXGA resolution, and up to 6.2 hours of battery life.

Weighs at just 3.5 pounds, Lenovo ThinkPad X200 is an Intel Centrino 2-powered tablet PC with 12.1-inch convertible touchscreen display and support for pen input. Available immediately, the notebook offers several new innovations over previous models, including 10% lighter weight, 50% longer battery life (up to 10 hours), a touch sensitivity that recognizes a lighter pen or finger touch, dual swivel screen, web camera and dual-array microphones, and a full size keyboard. Moreover, it runs on Windows Vista operating system and retailed for $1,814 (basic configuration).

Other features include a 128GB SSD, built-in GPS receiver, mobile broadband connectivity, and LED backlit display.

Another Montevina-based tablet PC from Fujitsu. This one is the Lifebook T1010 series. It is powered by a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, an integrated Intel GMA 4500 graphics engine, up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to 250GB of HDD. The touchscreen display has 13.3-inch size and a resolution of 1280×800. There’s a DVD burner if you need to move your important data, as well as an integrated 1.3MP webcam for video conference purpose. Moreover, an optional Turbo Memory 2.0 module is available if the laptop needs more speed.

Other features include a WiFI draft-n support, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, an integrated 56K modem, Bluetooth, 3 x USB ports, a PC Card slot, media card reader, Windows Vista OS, and VGA output. Weighs 5.3 pounds, Lifebook T1010 offers up to 3 hours and 45 minutes of battery life, thanks to its six-cell battery.

Fujitsu Lifebook T1010 Tablet PC is available now through the Fujitsu website and starts at $1,299 (after $50 mail-in rebate).

Fujitsu’s compact tablet PC is already on my shopping list since two years ago, but when the time arrived to buy a new laptop, my savings always wasn’t enough to buy the one from Fujitsu. Pity. I really hope this year I’ll finally able to purchase any Fujitsu Lifebook series tablet PC. This Centrino 2-based Lifebook T5010 for example.

Comes with a 13.3-inch (1280×800) touchscreen display, the convertible laptop features a digital pen input support, an Intel GMA 4500HD integrated graphics engine, up to 4GB of DDR3 main memory, up to 250GB of hard drive, a built-in optical drive, an optional Intel Turbo Memory 2.0 module, and an optional built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam module. Obviously, the machine is packed with the latest powerful Core 2 Duo processor.

Now when it comes to connectivity, Lifebook T5010 offers a 802.11n WiFi, a Gigabit Ethernet LAN, an integrated 56K modem, and Bluetooth. The 4.9-pounds device is also equipped with three USB ports, a PC Card slot, Secure Digital slot, Memory Stick/SD Card reader, Firewire port, and VGA output, as well as fingerprint reader and the Trusted Platform Module 1.2.

Other features include a six-cell battery with up to 3 hours and 45 minutes of juice and Windows Vista operating system. If interested, Fujitsu Lifebook T5010 convertible notebook is available now through Fujitsu Online Store with a retail price starting from $1,769.

Dell has just upgraded its Latitude-series tablet PC with the new Latitude XT. This notebook comes with a 12.1-inch convertible display with multi-touch screen (means you can ‘touch’ several points at the screen at once) capability. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor and a 128GB of Solid State Disk (SSD). No words on pricing though.

Powered by a 1.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 processor, the NEC ShieldPRO FC-N22A tablet PC is a compact yet rugged machine for those who work mostly under extreme condition. It can stand the dust, accidental fall (up to 90cm), extreme temperature (between -20℃ to +50℃), and water (IP55). So there’s no need to worry that you’ll lose your precious data during your work.

On the specs department, this 12.1-inch laptop features a touchscreen display with XGA resolution and a brightness of 750 cd/m2, a 512MB of main memory (expandable up to 4GB), and a pre-installed Windows XP Pro SP2 operating system. Sounds good, huh? But good thing always comes with a price, and so does this notebook. You have to take out around €2800 (about $4300) if you want to take this monster home.

Fujitsu has just unveiled the successor of its P1610 tablet PC. The P1620, powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo ULV processor, features a 2GB of main memory and an optional 32GB SSD (Solid State Disk) storage. As you may already know, SSD storage offers faster and more reliable data access. Not much detail about this upcoming laptop though, but I hope it’d come with built-in 3G support like its predecessor.

Weighs 990 grams, Kohjinsha SA1F00VKR/WKR tablet PC sports a 7-inch LCD display, a 512MB of main memory, a 100GB of hard drive, and pre-loaded English dictionary program called “Saydic”. The battery can stand for up to 4.5 hours (in power saving mode) and can reach 80% charge in just an hour. Nice. If interested, the suggested price is between 800,000(KRW) and 900,000(KRW). And don’t forget, only in Korea.

Gateway recently released E-155C, its latest 12-inch widescreen tablet PC. Powered by the new Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 (1.06GHz) ULV (Ultra Low Voltage) processor, this convertible notebook supports both digital pen and touch screen input provided by Watcom. Technically speaking, this machine is based on Intel 945GM chipset and features an Intel GMA (Graphics Media Accelerator) 950 graphics engine, up to 4GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 120GB of 5,400rpm SATA hard drive, and either a DVD/CD-RW or DVD burner. It also supports a wide-range of connectivity options, including 802.11a/b/g WiFI, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Bluetooth, and 56K modem.

Moreover, E-155C Tablet PC is equipped with a fingerprint reader, 2 x USB ports, VGA port, PC Card slot, Firewire, a 6-in-1 media card reader, and a port replicator connector. There’s also a Mobility Center button that gives users one-touch access to mobility settings, but only if it used with Windows Vista OS (note that the pre-loaded operating system is Windows XP Tablet PC Edition). The display itself offers a resolution of 1280 x 800 and an anti-reflection polarizer for keeping the screen readable even under the direct sun light.

Weighs between 4.5lbs to 5.07lbs (depend on battery capacity and optical drive presence), Gateway E-155C Tablet PC is currently retailed for $1,849 (base configuration).
