This is probably too good to be true, but fortunately, it IS the real thing. This device, a home-made Nokia phone-driven remote control is able to control your car just like what you used to do with your R/C car back in your childhood. On the screen of the phone you can see a steering wheel, along with control for accelerating and braking. It takes advantage of the handset’s Bluetooth connectivity to wirelessly drive the car.

Hopefully, this concept phone can find its way to the production line.

One of the problem usually gives a headache for home theater-enthusiasts is that they might end up with many remote control for their electronic devices — TV, speaker, DVD player, etc. Thanks to Compass, now there’s one remote to rule them all, the Smart Remote. It comes with built-in WiFI connectivity support, allowing you to control all of your WiFi-enable equipment with just one controller. The cool thing, it can also receive automatic updates through your home wireless network, as well as display RSS feeds on its mini screen. If that’s not enough to make you drool, what about the ability to view the latest info on sports, weather, and news from click365, along with browse pesonalized TV program guide.

No words on pricing and availability yet.

Get ready, boys! Be sure to save your money or put this on your Chrimast wishlist. It’s NetTansor (english: Net Tounge Sir), a remote-controlled robot from Bandai. This cool thing is using WiFI connection, which means, you can move it around freely without the hassle of connected cable. At just 980 grams weight, the robot is equipped with three Sensor Monitor to avoid bumping into walls, chairs, etc. You can also communicate with the robot via email but we’re not really sure about the detail. As for the battery, it can provide up to 2.5 hours of play time.

That’s it? Of course not! We’re sure you need more reason to spend 50,000 Yen on this robot. So let’s get to the best part… this robot has a built-in webcam which makes it possible for you to watch anything in front of the robot! We’ll stop here and leave you imagine all of the FUN things you can do with that ultra-cool feature.

But your best record so far is the triple-bogey. Don’t be sad, it’s time to use your secret weapon, the Remote Control Golf Ball! Now even a hole-in-one score in a 5-par hole is not a dream anymore.

This exciting prank toy obviously looks like a real golf ball. It can operated using its joystick on the discrete remote control within 100′ range. Each package, priced $39.95, comes with two set of balls and remotes. Why two if you ask? Well, the ball can use three different frequencies, so with the double balls, you can have some fun on the golf field and do the ball race with your friends.

The golf ball is powered by 1.2-volt NiMH rechargable battery, while the transmitter requires one 9V battery, and the recharger needs two AA batteries. Each single charge gives up to four hours of golf fun.

I take my words back today. In exchange, I want this Radio Control Digital Camera Plane or the Estes XB 39 Eagleye! I know I’d miss the 8x optical zoom feature from the Meade, but at least now I can take an incredible aerial photographs from an eagle’s eye view of this camera plane.

The Estes XB Eagleye has a wingspan of 55 inches, is 34 inches in length and has twin ducted fan jet engines. The camera module allows me to take up to 26 still photo shot simply by pushing the button on the transmitter. Too bad no video recoding, but well, it looks like it doesn’t have much internal memory either with just 26 photo capacity. Having a video recording function will be useless with limited memory.

Estes XB 39 Eagleye Radio-Control Digital Camera Plane features:

Giant-size airplane has a wingspan of 55 inches and is 34 inches long

Thrust vectoring and twin electric ducted fan jet engines provide great control

Includes five-function, two-stick transmitter included

Take photos with a simple push of a button on the transmitter

Camera pod snaps off to download images to your computer

EZ Launch catapult system ensures smooth, easy takeoffs

Includes two rechargable flight batteries for non-stop flying (charge one while you use the other)

Requires eight “AAA” alkaline batteries for transmitter and camera (batteries not included)

The plane is available for $148.32 at Walmart (link below).

But if you have one, and if you like to make fun of other people, this would be a nice prank toy.

Retailed for $18.98, the collar, named Hound Bytes R/C Dog Collar, comes with a built-in speaker. Just clip it to your dog and you can operate the remote from far away and enjoy the reactions of the people when your dog confronts the unsuspecting with one of 6 clever remarks and witty lines.

These are what the dog can say:

(Farting) Oh I’m so embarrassed, canned food always gives me gas.

Hey, does this coat make me look fat?

I’m a lover, not a biter.

Of course my breath stinks, look what I’ve been licking.

Baby you’re so sweet, if I bit you I’d get a cavity.

Gotta poop, gotta poop, Gotta poop right now! (Farting) Oh there it goes.

Sounds fun. Maybe I could ask my cat to use it and scare my sister.

Looks interesting, but not sure what it is good for other than a (romantic) gift. The Remote Control LED Message Clock is a clock with a moving LEDs that can dispaly your personalized text message. It can also display time (of course, it’s a clock), alarm clock, and calendar. The data and time display supports 12 major cities around the world. So if you travel around the world a lot, you can bring this clock along with you, and you can easily adapt it with the current timezone. Well, only if you stay on those 12 cities though.

Anyway, the clock can be either wall-mounted or place on the desktop. There are 10 built-in messages which can be displayed auto-periodically. You may create up to 9 sets of your own personalized messages and each message contains maximum 100 characters. The messaeg will be displayed with flash animation and colourful background.

The price is around US$ 44.00.
