More and more mini laptop come to life. Soon available in Japan is the Cloudbook from Everex. Measures 230 x 171 x 29mm and weighs at just 970 grams, this 7-inch UMPC boasts a 1.2GHz VIA C7-M ULV processor, a 30GB of hard drive, a 512B of main memory (expandable up to 1GB), an integrated 0.3 megapixel webcam module, and a WVGA touchscreen display. For connectivity, it provides both WiFI and Bluetooth options. Not bad.

If you haven’t bought Asus EEE PC yet, here’s another tiny UMPC that you can consider. Measures at just 230 x 171 x 29.4mm (a little bit larger than EEE) and weighs 0.97kg, this “Sungjut TangoX Nano PC” is powered by a 1.2Ghz VIA C7-M ULV processor, a 1GB of DDR2 main memory, and either 40GB or 80GB of hard drive. Unlike EEE, TangoX Nano offers built-in 4-in-1 card reader, touchscreen display (7-inch WVGA 800×480), and internal removable Skype/VoIP phone. Moreover, it is also equipped with an Ethernet port, WiFI a/b/g, DVI port, and 2 x USB 2.0 ports.

Dell has just announced the arrival of Intel’s new 45nm Core 2 Duo Penryn processor onto the company’s 14.1-inch Precision M2300, 15.4-inch M4300, and 17-inch M6300 laptops. These mobile workstations are now configurable with the following processors: T8100 (2.1GHz), T8300 (2.4Ghz), T9300 (2.5GHz), and 9500 (2.6GHz). In addition, Dell Precision M6300 comes with the latest 512MB nVidia Quadro FX 3600M graphics engine, follows by the 2.8GHz Core 2 Extreme X9000 Penryn CPU very soon this year.

All of these new Penryn configurations will be retailed with the same prices as their corresponding precursors, starting from $1,379 (M2300), $1,249 (M4300), and $1,849 (M6300). In addition, you have to pay $699 if you want to add that Quadro FX 3600M onto Precision M6300 laptop.

DosPara Japan recently presented its new line of desktop PC, the “Prime Monarch XE”. Based on P35 Express chipset, the computer is powered by an Intel Xeon E3110 processor, a 2GB of main memory, a 500GB of SATA2 hard drive, and a 512MB GeForce 8800GT graphics engine. The price for these basic configuration is set at €755 or about $1,142. Note that the monitor is not included.

Another Penryn-powered laptop arrived. This one, called “mBook PR200″, is coming from Mouse Computer Japan (MCJ). Available in three flavours (olive green, light blue, and light pink), each notebook is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 Penryn processor, a 2GB of main memory, an 80GB of SATA hard drive, and an Intel X3100 graphics engine. Moreover, it is equipped with an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, a dual-layer SuperMulti DVD burner, HDMI output, WiFI a/b/g/n connectivity, and a 12.1-inch display.

mBook PR200 laptop is retailed for €817 or about $1,210.

Wireless USB is the next trend in laptop / notebook market. NEC Japan, not wanting to leave behind, jumps onto W-USB wagon and offers this wonderful feature to its brand new LaVie J laptop series. At the moment, three models are ready to hit the shelves: NEC LaVie LJ750/LH, LJ730/LG, and LJ700/LH. Each model comes with a shock-and-weight resistant body, allowing you to put up to 300kg pressure on the laptop (or a maximum of 25kg point pressure) on its 29.8mm slim body. Not bad.

Priced at €1,735 (about $2,542) NEC LaVie LJ750/LH laptop features a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 CPU, a 2GB of main memory, a 160GB of hard drive, a 12.1-inch display with 1280×800 resolution, WiFI a/b/g/draft-n, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. LJ730/LG comes with similar specs, except the 80GB of HDD, 1GB of RAM, and no-draft N support to its WiFI connectivity. No words on pricing on this one.

Acer’s first two Penry-powered laptops have finally hit the U.S shelves. You can now purchase either Acer Aspire AS5920-6574 or AS7720-6604 notebook PCs for $1,199.99 and $1,349.99 respectively at NewEgg. Both features a wide-range of connectivity options, including 802.11a/b/g/draft N WiFI, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, integrated 56K modem, 4 x USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, a 5-in-1 media card reader, Firewire port, and infra-red. These two laptops will be equipped with VGA and S-Video outputs, along with built-in webcam, a 1280×800 display, and a Dolby Home Theater sound system with built-in two speakers and a subwoofer.

Onto the detail, Acer Aspire AS5920-6574 sports a 15.4-inch monitor, an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 (2.1GHz) processor, a 3GB of main memory, a DVD burner, a 512MB nVidia GeForce 8600M GT graphics engine, a 250GB of hard drive, and a pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium edition OS. The specs of the Aspire AS7720-6604 laptop isn’t much different, except a 17-inch display, a 320GB of storage, and a Windows Vista Ultimate OS.

After added the GeForce 8800M GTX SLI option onto XPS M1730, Dell now offers the magic of 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo Penryn processor onto its most popular gaming laptop series. U.S customers will be able to opt-in for either 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo T8300 or 2.5Ghz T9300 CPUs. The former option (and other basic configuration) is priced at $2,399, while the latter would set ‘em back at $2,524. Soon the company will add the Core 2 Extreme X9000 Penryn on the list of M1730 configuration as well.

Regarding hardware, Onkyo APX-2 HD Audio PC boasts an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 (1.66GHz) processor, a 1GB of main memory, and a 500GB of hard drive.

Japan-based Mouse Computer recently unveiled its brand new 13.3-inch laptop, the “LuvBook J131″. This Penryn-powered notebook PC boasts a resolution of 1280 x 800 (WXGA), an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, a 120GB of hard drive, and a 2GB of main memory. It is retailed with a price tag of 119,700 Yen (about $1,118).
