HP recently unleased the new Compaq 2730p Business Tablet PC in the Korea market. Featuring the brand new Centrino 2 platform, the laptop is packed with a 1.8Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo L9400 vPro processor, a Mobile Intel GM45 Express chipset, a 2GB of DDR2 main memory, a 120GB of hard drive, a 12.1-inch WXGA display with Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics engine, WiFI connectivity, and Windows Vista Business operating system. No words on pricing though.

HP Korea unleased a new laptop under its Compaq Presario sub-brand, the “Compaq Presario B1200″ series. The machine comes in three different configurations. The basic one, priced at 1,000,000 (KRW), supports Intel Core 2 Duo processor and features a SuperMulti 8x DVD burner with Double Layer support, an Intel GMA X3100 graphics engine, and Windows Vista Business Edition operating system. It weighs 1.82kg and supports an optional 8-cell battery that lasts for up to 7 hours and 50 minutes.

HP presented another laptop this week, the Compaq Presario V6000 series, in Korea market. This one comes with a 15.4-inch widescreen display with Bright View technology, a full-size keyboard, and a 200GB of hard drive. It sports the new Compaq logo as well. Not much detail about the notebook unfortunately, but the company did claim that the machine will provide a desktop PC perfomance at an affordable price. Hope it’s not just a marketing gimmick…

HP unveiled a 17-inch widescreen laptop, “Compaq 8710p”, during HP Mobility Summit 2007 event in Shanghai, China. This high-perfomance notebook PC is built based on Intel Santa Rosa (a.k.a Centrino Pro) platform and aims at business professionals. Features include an nVidia 3D graphics engine, a full-sized keyboard with numeric pad, a DVD burner with an optional Blu-Ray drive if requested, and a 4GB of main memory. Weighs at just 2.45kg, this thin and lightweight machine will be available starting from the middle of July with a price tag of $1,399 for the base configuration.

Along with iPAQ 512 Voice Messenger Smartphone, HP also presented Compaq 2710p Tablet PC during HP Mobility Summit event in Shanghai, China. Just like the PDA, this slim convertible notebook PC is designed for business purpose by combining conventional laptop productivity with tablet PC flexibility. It comes with an Illumi-Lite display that reduces the weight and power consumption, along with HP NightLight function which improves keyboard visibility at night or in low light environment.

Moreover, HP Compaq 2710p Tablet PC features a built-in DVD burner, an optional integrated webcam, and optional slim battery accessory that further enhances its battery life up to 10 hours. Weighs 1.65kg, the machine will be retailed with a suggested price of $1,599.

Another product displayed by HP at its CES 2007’s booth is the Compaq Presario B1900 laptop. Not something new, ’cause it’s already presented by HP Korea back in October last year. However, to refresh your memory, weighs 1.79kg, this 12.1-inch (1280×800; 16:10) widescreen notebook features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, an ATI Radeon Express 200M graphics engine, and Bluetooth connectivity.

nx7300/CT is the new laptop from HP under the Compaq series. Promised a one-stop solution for all your mobile computing needs, this 15.4-inch notebook features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (opt-in for Core Duo or even Celeron M if you want), a 512MB of main memory, a 60GB of hard drive, a Dual Layer SuperMulti DVD burner, and PremierSound audio/speaker system. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 2.0, WiFI, Ethernet LAN, and 56K modem. Weighs 5.6lbs, the machine is also equipped with three USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, optional HP BrightView technology which delivered superb image, and pre-loaded Windows XP Professional / Home Edition operating system.

HP Compaq nx7300/CT Laptop is retailed for 77,000 Yen (or around $658) for the base configuration with Celeron M processor.

As announced by Hewlett-Packard (HP), Cingular Wireless’ UMTS/HSDPA-based technology is now integrated onto HP’s popular Compaq nc6400 series laptop. Customers can enjoy the high-speed internet access (up to 3.6mbps) in the U.S through Cingular Wireless BroadbandConnect or other high-speed EDGE services, as well as on more than 115 countries worlwide in which there are UMTS or GPRS/EDGE networks available. The Compaq nc6400 notebook itself will be the first laptop with built-in tri-band UMTS modem in U.S. It will be released on the market starting from late December with a price tag of $1,599 (base configuration). Customers also have to pay a monthly fee of $59.99 for subscribing onto Cingular BroadbandConnect service.

Regarding specs, the Vista-ready HP Compaq nc6400 laptop features a 14.-inch widescreen display, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 graphics engine.

Starting yesterday, Wal*mart gives a big discount for Compaq’s Presario V5305WM laptop and retail it for just $400 ($398 to be exact). If you want one, keep in mind that the offer is valid until November 11th and only available through Wal*mart stores, not online. The notebook itself, powered by AMD Sempron 3300+ processor, is equipped with a 15.4-inch 1280×800 display, a 512MB of RAM (expandable up to 2GB), an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card with 128MB of shared memory, and a 60GB of 5,400rpm hard drive.

Weighs 1.79kg, this sub-notebook PC features an Intel Core Duo processor, an ATI Radeon Express 200M graphics engine, Bluetooth connectivity, DVD Super Multi drive, and a 4-in-1 memory card reader which supports SD, MMC, MS, and MS-PRO cards. Furthermore, comes with a latch-free design for smooth opening and shutting down, the machine is powered by a 4-cell battery and ODD with optional 6-cell battery for more juices.
