LG Electronics is going to take participation on upcoming PT/Expo Comm China 2007 (China Expo), the largest IT show in China which will be held on Tuesday until Saturday. The company will use its 460-sq. m booth to showcase some of its state-of-the-art cell phones, including Viewty, Shine, and Chocolate series. LG will also show off its mobile TV and other third-generation handsets during that event.

The Viewty is LG’s cell phone with professional camera functionalities. It boasts a 5 megapixel camera module, Schneider Optics lens, image stabilizer, video recording capability @ 120fps, and both automatic and manual focus.

From time to time, Brando always has something interesting to offer. Here’s the newest one, an ultra small and lightweight portable player named “USB Chocolate MP3 Player”. At just 12 grams, it comes with four touch-sensitive buttons that control all the device’s functionalities. From song playback to track skipping. Measuring at just 3 x 4.3 x 1cm, it doesn’t have any LCD display installed, so you have to guess the title of the currently playing song. As for media formats, it supports both MP3 and WMA audio formats. And since it has “USB” on its name, you can expect to be able to use USB connectivity for transferring media file from your PC.

Eventhough it looks cool, there are two unsolved mysteries about this portable player. First is the “Chocolate”. It has no relationship with that popular cell phone from LG, so why “Chocolate”? Second is the picture drawn on the buttons. If you look closely, there’s a picture of chicken and dog on them. WTH?

5.5 Designers showcased a unique chocolate calculator during Tendence Lifestyle 207 event in Frankfurt, Germany. The product is called “Chocolator”, but I’m not sure whether it’s a chocolate with calculator design or a real-working calculator made of chocolate. Anyone know?

LG will soon release one of its chocolate phone, KU580, in Europe market, including Italy, France, and Germany. This 3G slider handset sports pre-installed Google mobile services, such as Google Search, Google Mail, and Google Maps. It comes with a heat sensor buttons under the wide 2-inch display (320×240). Moreover, the phone also features an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, USB interface, FM radio tuner, built-in music player, and media card slot.

LG finally brings the popular Chocolate branding outside the world of cell phone. I’ve seen the Chocolate stereo system on an electronic retailer couple weeks ago, but I’ve never though the company would make the Chocolate grow even further. Anyway, the next stop for the Chocolate is the Z1 laptop and it sports Vista SideShow technology with its two LCD display (12.1-inch and external 2.4-inch). Comes with black piano finish, the notebook is powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 120GB of hard drive, and an ATI Mobility Radeon X1350 graphics engine.

Other features include a Bluetooth connectivity and a unique touch-sensitive buttons, just like the one found on the Chocolate phones.

Verizon plans to release two gorgeous cell phones on the Valentine Day — LG’s Strawberry Chocolate and Motorola’s Fire KRZR. The first one comes with a soft pink color, while the latter has a deeper red paintjob. Very romantic, huh? No further information on the detail, but the company promises to have them ready on February 14th.

These two fashionable cell phones can definitely replace the boring roses. Unfortunately, you won’t see it on the market until the March 4th. Each handsets will be retailed for $99 (two-years agreement).

LG KG208 is one of the member of the famous Chocolate series cell phone, but unlike others, this one has a candy bar design. The keypad is placed below the control button, instead of the slider. Measures 106.5 x 45.5 x 14.8mm and weighs 86 grams, it features an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, a 64MB onboard memory with microSD card slot, 72 polyphonic ringtone, both Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and music playback with support for MP3, WMA, AAC/AAC+/AAC++ audio formats. Its battery provides up to 180 minutes talk time and up to 150 hours standby time.

No words on pricing yet, but LG KG208 cell phone will soon available in China market.

Along with the first Windows Mobile’s Chocolate phone, LG also unveils the first 3G clamshell’s Chocolate handset. The U830 boasts its HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) support, offering high-speed web browsing and download rate. Its connectivity features are enhanced with Bluetooth support, along with built-in POP3 email client with support for several popular webmail service, such as Yahoo’s Mail, Google’s Gmail and Microsoft’s Hotmail.

Entertainment-hungry users will be satisfied with the built-in media player. It supports various media formats, including MP3, AAC, and MPEG-4. A generous 185MB onboard memory is provided as well, giving a lot of free space for storing your audio / video collection. Furthermore, the A2DP Stereo Bluetooth capability offers an enhanced wireless music experience.

Measures 98 x 49 x 14.8mm and weighs 93g, LG U830 cell phone also features a 2 megapixel camera module, a 2.2-inch colors display, an external 1.3-inch TFT display, and a 800mAH battery that delivers juice for up to 330 hours of standby time and up to 3.2 hours of talktime (3G mode).

While Samsung is still busy with its Ultra Series (i600, F300, and F500),, LG seems to unable to get their hands off the yummy Chocolate, just like Nokia with the Sirocco. During ITU Commnication Show in Hongkong, LG announces the extension of the Chocolate series with the addition of the Windows Mobile-powered KC1. This pocket PC phone features a large 2.8-inch QVGA touch screen display, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, a microSD card slot, and WiMAX connectivity. It will be released in Korea later, but no words on pricing and avalability yet.
