Google Bendi – Google in Chinese

Google has launched a chinese version of Google local, named Google Bendi. Ben Di is mandarin for local. As the other Google’s services, Google Bendi is still in beta. It covers maps for 77 cities and information on businesses and services for over 100 cities. The maps are powered by Mapabc.com. It is also interesting to note that Taiwan is not covered in the database.

Chinese Researcher Worries About Nude Web Chat

Chinese researcher recently bring naked internet chatting issue to public, related to public health and morality among citizen. As reported by Shanghai Daily newspaper, Liu Gang, the Chinese researcher from China Youth Association, mention that up to 20,000 Chinese internet users log on to chat rooms each night, in which users in various states of undress talk t o each other with the help of web cams.

“At first, we thought if was merely a game for a few mentally abnormal people,” said Liu. “But as our research continued, we found the problem was much larger than expected,” Liu said.

He explained, that after downloading the chat software and attaching video cameras to their computers, they started to talk with others while exposing themselves and performing provocative poses.

As far as I know, this nude web chat issue is not happening only in China, but also from other countries around the world. Even in my country. Too bad nobody ever ‘exposed themselves’ for me
