Yes, I don’t care whether the Japanese can make a smarter robot. And I also don’t care whether Japan-made robots are almost human looks-a-like. All I care is this made-in-China female humanoid called Dion which was being shown off earlier this month at a robot show in China. She’s not as skillful as those made by Japanese, as the only thing she can do is to sing and move her lips a little bit. But guys, this robotic babe has a great sexy body (notice the important part of female’s body also included) and even wears a sexy clothes, including a sexy mini-skirt! The only thing that turn me off is the name (Dion is a BOY’s name in my country…).

(Auto) Translated description:

To beautiful proportion and the sexy mini- skirt & the audience who produces the hand to [so] putting out look, unintentionally appears. The touch feeling which becomes matter of concern, with the feeling such as thick silicon just, as for the human skin compared to the just a little setting

Anyway, you can watch the video of Dion here (mirrored here).

(SFTM), a joint company formed with the China FAW Group Corp., initiated production of the Toyota “Prius” hybrid vehicle on December 15, 2005. Production is underway at Chanchun Fengyue Co., an SFTM branch. The Prius became the first hybrid vehicle manufactured in China under China’s national hybrid vehicle certification system, which came into effect on October 1, 2005. This is also the first time that Toyota has ever manufactured any hybrid vehicles outside of Japan.

The Prius will be priced in China at 288,000 Chinese yuan ($ 35,500). With China’s booming economy the demand for four wheelers has never been more. China is the second largest emitter of Green house gases after the United States.

Toyota plans to start accepting orders over the Internet in advance from December 16, 2005, and has set a sales target of 3,000 units for 2006.

China makes another move. After limiting the duration of online multiplayer game, now China Telekom, the largest fixed-line operator in China, is trying to block VoIP which offers by some popular service. VoIP lets people use internet to make phone calls all over the world, thus giving cheaper rate than normal phone calls.

Skype is one of the VoIP service which will be affected by this decision. The free internet phone and instant messenger’s service from Skype Technologies SA is one of the most popular VoIP service in the world, including China. Skype can also be used to call land lines for a fee.

With its cheaper, people more likely to use VoIP internet phone service rather than fixed-line phone operators. That’s why China Telekom is trying to prevent users in China from logging on to Skype’s server, the newspaper Beijing Business Today reported on its Web site.

Furthermore, if someone is making a phone call over a China Telecom broadband connection, it will be disconnected automatically as the company will also monitor and control online data volume.

China Telecom expects these controls will be ready in 2006 or 2007.

“At first, we thought if was merely a game for a few mentally abnormal people,” said Liu. “But as our research continued, we found the problem was much larger than expected,” Liu said.
