This cell phone ever said as the “iPhone killer,” because the LG Voyager – VX10000 offers many things the iPhone lacks, including 3G support, multimedia messaging, stereo Bluetooth, and an integrated GPS application. LG Voyager VX10000 has a cutting-edge design with a brilliant touch screen and a spacious keyboard. Sky, Pantech & Curitel’s sub-brand, has just announced the availability of its SKY IM-S310L cell phone in all LG Telecom retail stores. Dubbed as “Diamond Pattern’, this sliding-mechanism handset sports a 2.4-inch QVGA display, an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, LED lighting, built-in MP3 player, and BankOn capability. It is available only in Korea with a price tag of 300,000 (KRW) or about €195.

If you’re a mobile worker and want to be able to do anything you need to do without carrying too many gadgets, then check out the new premium cell phone from Gigabyte. Called GSmart MS808, this Windows Mobile 6.1-based handset offers a bright 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen display, an integrated GPS navigation module, a digital TV / radio support, built-in DVB-T/DVB-H/T-DMB/ISDB-T/DMB receiver, and an integrated 3 megapixel camera module with autofocus. It is powered by a 624Mhz Marvell PXA310 procesosr and runs on quad-band GSM/GPRS (850/900/1800/1900) network with support for HSDPA/EDGE/WCDMA 2100. Moreover, its Wifi connectivity provides seamless internet browsing on the go. And don’t forget, since MS808 is using WM6, you can expect it to take care your office work (read document, draw chart, play presentation, etc).

No words on pricing at the moment, but this 116 x 60 x 14.1mm device will be available as early as Q3 2008, so stay tune, guys!

Here goes the new music phone from LG, “KM500″. Introduced during Mobile World Congress 2008 event in Barcelona, this cell phone offers professional music management with IDtag3 support, an on-screen music information display, and a convenient shortcut key on its body for one-click playback control. Additionally, it features easy PC synchronization as well.

Along with the Ultimate 8502
, i-Mate also announced the release of “Ultimate 9502 cell phone“. This handset comes with almost similar specs as 8502, which include Windows Mobile 6 Professional OS, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE network, tri-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA network, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFI, microSD card slot, and an integrated GPS receiver. It also has the same direct video out port which enable users to connect the handset to a digital projector or TV and run presentations or make video calls.

Powered by a 400Mhz processor, 256MB ROM, and 128MB RAM, i-Mate Ultimate 9502 also features an integrated 3.2 megapixel camera module with auto-focus and LED flash, a secondary VGA camera for video telephony purpose, a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, and a 1660mAh Li-Ion battery. According to the company, this phone will be released exclusively through Australian Telstra in March with a price tag of AUD1099 or about $985.

i-Mate has officially announced the release of its brand new “Ultimate 8502 cell phone” at Mobile World Congress 2008 event. As previously posted, the Ultimate 8502 is powered by Windows Mobile 6 OS and features microSD media card slot, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, GPS navigation, full QWERTY keyboard, and a 2.6-inch display. It also has a handy direct video output port, allowing you to watch the video or photo inside the phone directly on your widescreen LCD TV, along with a wide-range of connectivity options, including WiFI, Bluetooth, and 3.5G / HSDPA (up to 7.2Mbps).

I-Mate Ultimate 8502 cell phone will be available starting from March in Australia via Telstra and can be purchased for AUD1000.

More and more GPS phones emerge. Here goes another one, the “Portege 810″ from Toshiba. Introduced during Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, Portege 810 comes with ab uilt-in A-GPS receiver, allowing its users to view and navigate through the maps. To let them download the maps data at a high-speed connection, a HSDPA and HSUPA connectivity are provided. Moreover, a large 2.83-inch touchscreen display is included for convenient navigation.

Other features include an integrated 3 megapixel camera module, FM radio tuner, Bluetooth, WiFI, microSD media card slot (up to 4GB supported), and a 1530mAh Li-Ion battery. At just 14mm thick, Toshiba Portege 810 GPS phone also boasts a stylish black mirror finish and a touch-sensitive keypad, along with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional operating system.

Toshiba Portege 810 cell phone is expected to hit the store next month. No words on pricing at the moment.

Korea-based manufacturer Woongjin is going to showcase its ultra-slim STM-8100 PDA Phone with built-in GPS navigation functionalities at CeBIT 2008 in Hannover, Germany in March. This waterproof mobile device can survive fall and vibration, thus focusing its target market to poeple with lots of outdoor activities. Other feature is support for an external 2D bar code scanner.

Nokia recently showcased the new N-series handset, N78, at Mobile World Congress 2008 event in Barcelona, Spain. This multimedia computer cell phone features an integrated A-GPS receiver, an integrated 3.2 megapixel camera module with Carl Zeiss optics lens, an integrated FM transmitter, photo geotagging, WLAN support, and a high-speed 3G/HSDPA connectivity. Users would be able to access free maps from Nokia and figure out where they are right now. However, you have to subscribe to Nokia service if you want to enjoy the turn-by-turn and voice guidance navigation functions.

Nokia N78 cell phone is scheduled to hit the Europe market in the second quarter of 2008 with a price tag of around €350.

Vodafone announced its own-brand cell phones — Vodafone 227 and Vodafone 228 — during Mobile World Congress 2008 in Barcelona, Spain. Both handsets feature a GSM dual-band connectivity, voice and text messaging, color display, vibrating alert, and and an earphone port. Yes, not much in there since those phones were designed to be highly affordable (read: cheap) and easy to use. One noticable difference between Vodafone 227 and 228 is the design. The first one has clamshell design and the latter with sliding mechanism.
