Here goes two new laptops from Unitcom: the LesanceNB XPH/CL710GW-TypeS and LesanceNB XPH/CL615SW-TypeS. Let’s ignore those hard-to-spell, hard-to-remember model numbers and check out what’s hiding inside the case. Start with LesanceNB XPH/CL710GW-TypeS, this 17-inch notebook PC is powered by an Intel Celeron 540 (1.86GHz) processor, a 1GB of main memory, a VIA VN896CE + VT8237A chipset, a 160GB of hard drive, and a DVD SuperMulti burner. Price is set at €600 ($930).

Regarding LesanceNB XPH/CL615SW-TypeS laptop, it comes with a 1.54-inch WXGA (1280×900) display, a 120GB of HDD, a 1GB of RAM, and an Intel Celeron 540 processor. It is retailed for €525 ($814).

IMHO, the price for both laptops are a little bit too much for a Celeron-based machine…

Asus X80LE-4P099H laptop features an Intel Celeron 550 processor, a 1GB of DDR2 main memory (upgradeable up to 2GB0, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 graphics engine, and a 120GB SATA hard drive. It comes with a 14-inch display and a SPDIF port, along with a cool basketball surface-like embosing pattern on its cover. If you want, the price it 600,000 Won a piece. Only in Korea unfortunately.

Epson unveils the new Endeavor NJ2100 laptop. It is powered by a 1.86Ghz Intel Celeron 540 processor, a 1GB of main memory, and an 80GB of hard drive. Moreover, it is equipped with a 15.4-inch WXGA display and a WiFI b/g connectivity. Sounds boring? Hold on! The notebook PC also comes with a cute and colorful Hello Kitty design (there are two designs you can choose).

Toshiba Korea recently updated its Satellite series laptop’s portfolio by releasing the new “Satellite L40″. This 14.1-inch (1280×800) machine, with a suggested price of 790,000 (KRW), boasts an Intel Celeron M440 (1.86GHz) processor, a 512MB of 667MHz DDR2 RAM, an 80GB of SATA hard drive, an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950 graphics engine, a DVD Combo, and a 6-cell battery. Measures 357 x 269.5 x 28.8 ~ 36.5mm and weighs 2.75kg, the laptop is equipped with a variety of connectivity options (WiFI, Bluetooth, 56K modem) and preloaded with Windows Vista Home Basic edition operating system.

Epson strengthen its Endeavor series laptop with the new Celeron-based Endeavor NJ2050. This machine sports an Intel Celeron M430 (1.73GHz) processor, a 256MB of main memory, a 40GB of hard drive, CD-ROM player (nope, no DVD), Ethernet LAN, and pre-installed Windows XP Home Edition operating system. Moreover, weighs 2.7kg, it is equipped with TPM security chipset, mini D-Sub (15-pin), 4 x USB 2.0 ports, IEEE1394 port, PC Card slot, and 3-in-1 media card reader (SD/MMC/MS Pro). The price is set at 69.930 Yen or around $590.

Another configuration is available with an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, just incase you need a more powerful notebook.

Mouse Computer, a Japan-based computer manufacturer, presents two new Core 2 Duo-powered products, the LM-E6679GSU Desktop PC and LB-T7276U Laptop. Let’s check the PC first. Priced at €1,070, it features an Intel Core Duo E6600 (2.4GHz) processor, an nVidia GeForce 7900GS graphics engine, a 320GB of hard drive, and a Multi DVD burner. Regarding the notebook, it comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2GHz) processor, an nVidia GeForce 7600 graphics engine, a 120GB of hard drive, a 2GB of main memory, and a 15.4-inch widescreen display with a resolution of 1280×760. The price is about €1,250.

Both LM-E6679GSU Desktop PC and LB-T7276U Laptop are available through a Japanese reseller called Softmap.

Mouse Computer releases two new laptops, both powered with the new Windows Vista operating system. The first one is LuvBook L, a 15.4-inch notebook equipped with an Intel Celeron M 410 processor, a 512MB of main memory, a 40GB of hard drive, and a DVD/CD-RW combo drive. If you have more budget and want a faster machine, check out the second model, m-Book P laptop. This one comes with an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 (or T7200) CPU, a 1GB of RAM, a Multi DVD burner, an 80GB of hard drive (or opt-in for 120GB one), and an nVidia GeForce Go 7600 graphics engine.

Regarding operating system, Mouse Computer’s LuvBook L laptop is pre-loaded with Vista Home Basic Edition, while m-Book P model has either Vista Home Premium or Ultimate Edition OS. Price is respectively set at €500 and between €880 ~ €1,070.

Radio is not dead yet. Olympus believes that and so offers VJ-10, its new futuristic-style FM/AM radio. Measures 205 x 120 x 89mm and weighs 640 grams, this impressive device comes with a whopping 37GB of hard drive that can store up to 2,500 hours of audio in 128Kbps WMA format. With its built-in audio player capability, you can also store your MP3 / WMA music collections and listen to them using FJ-10. Furthermore, it features 20 different radio station presets and 3.9-inch SRS WO XT display. No words on pricing and availability though.

Acer currently offers a cheap Vista-ready laptop for you, the TravelMate TM2480 model. The good thing, this 14.1-inch widescreen notebook already comes pre-loaded with Windows Vista Basic operating system, so you don’t have to purchase the OS separately. Priced at just $539.99, it features an Intel Celeron M 420 (1.60GHz) processor, a 512MB of DDR2 main memory, an 80GB of hard drive, and a DVD/CD-RW combo drive. Probably not the best machine for Vista (my TravelMate 3274WXMi is way much better) and you may still need to upgrade to Vista Home Premium to taste the whole delicious features of the Vista OS, but at least you don’t have to pay too much bucks for playing around with Vista.

Weighs 5.3 lbs, Acer TravelMate TM2480 is also equipped with an Intel GMA 950 graphics engine, WiFI connectivity, an integrated 56K modem, Ethernet LAN, a Type I/II PC Card Slot, three USB ports, a 5-in-1 card reader, a VGA out and S-Video TV-out.

TabletKiosk yesterday unveiled Sahara Plate PC i400 series, its latest tablet PC boasting both Active Digitizer (Pen) and Touch Screen input. There are three initial models on the series: the Shara Slate PC i412T (entry-level), i440T, and i440D (high-end). Price respectively set at $1,795, $2,195, and $2,295.

The Sahara Slate PC i41T Tablet PC is powered by an Intel Celeron M ULV (Ultra-Low Voltage) 423processor and comes pre-loaded with either Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista Business, or Linux. As an entry-level machine, it has a wide-angle view passive resistive touch screen which is specifically designed for accessing menu driven software such as Point of Sale applications and kiosk-based systems. Its sibling, Sahara Slate i440T, is equipped with almost the same specs, except the more powerful Intel Core Duo LV L2500 processor.

Finally, the most advanced convertible laptop on the series, Sahara Slate PC i440, features an Intel Centrino Duo Mobile technology with Intel Core Duo LV L2500 processor, a revolutionary new input screen that converts from a pressure-sensitive active digitizer to a resistive touch screen at the push of a button, and either a Microsoft Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005, Linux or the new Windows Vista Business operating system.

All of these tablet PCs can have up to 4GB of DDR2 main memory and up to 160GB of SATA hard drive. They also come with a PCMCIA Type II slot for expansion; eSATA, USB 2.0 and 1394a connectivity; a biometric fingerprint reader and TPM security module and four user programmable buttons.
