Canon recently announced its latest digital camera, the S5. This 8 megapixel camera boasts a 12x optical zoom, a 2.5-inch swiveling colors LCD display, and high-quality VGA video recording capability. Users can control the lighting, thus making it possible to take a photo even in the most dimly-lit environment. Moreover, the digicam incorporated the company’s proprietary DIGIC III image processor as well as image stabilizer function that reduces the blurry effect of unstable camera position.

Canon S5 digital camera will hit the store in July with a price tag of around $500.
