Sony unveiled the new flash-based camcorders, HDR-CX100, featuring a 4 megapixel CCD sensor, an 8GB of onboard storage (enough for couple hours of motion) with Memory Stick Pro Duo slot for external memory, a 10x optical zoom lens, and a 2.7-inch LCD screen. This camcorder supports Full-HD resolution video recording, guaranteeing a high-quality movie-recorded result for your memorable moment.

Other video recorder announced by Sony this week includes Sony DCR-SX60 (16GB), DCR-SX41 (8GB), and DCR-SX40 (4GB) models.

Toshiba officially announced the new member of its Camileo series HD camcorder, the Toshiba Camileo H10. Features include a 10 megapixel sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens, a 2.7-inch display, a 64MB of internal memory with SD/SDHC media card slot (up to 8GB supported), and 720p video recording capability. It also packs with motion detector, night mode, and image stabilization for better quality video.

Digix Semicon has just announced the release of Lesca’s DC-100 Mini Digital Camcorder in Korea market. Digix itself is Lesca’s, a Hong Kong-based digital camera manufacturer, official distributor for digital camera and digital camera products. As for the DC-100, it has all the things that a camcorder should have, with an addition of 20 pre-loaded games.

Samsung Electronics updated its product portfolio with the brand new flash-based HD camcorder called “VM-HMX10A”. Recently unveiled in Korea market, this digital recorder boasts a 2.7-inch wide touchscreen display, a 150-degree swivelling grip, USB interface, HDMI output, and a 4GB of onboard memory. It adopted Anynet+ technology, which allows you to control the device via one Anynet-ready remote controller. Furthermore, it supports 1280 x 720 progressive scan @ 60 fps, as well as H.264 video codec.

Sanyo officially announced “Xacti DMX-HD700″ camcorder in Japan market. Scheduled to hit the shelves on October 19th, the camera sports a 7.1 megapixel sensor, a SD/SDHC external storage, and PictBridge, a wireless direct printing function via Bluetooth. Being a full HD camcorder, it supports MPEG4 / AVC(H.264) formats, allowing users to create high quality HD movies easily, as well as enjoy the recorded movie on a HDTV via HDMI port and share them on the web. Regarding still images, the camera comes with “Face Chaser” function that automatically focus the camera to the face of the object.

Sanyo Xacti DMX-HD700 camcorder will be available in three different flavours: silver, red, and brown. Price info hasn’t been revealed though.
