Opera Software yesterday announced the beta version of Opera Mini 4 a.k.a Dimension. This new version is a complete redesign of already-powerful mobile web browser, offering PC-like web browsing experience on the go. It also comes with a new zoom function which allows users to dive into the page and then snaps to the content. This feature was first introduced on Opera for Wii. This service is offered by Guidepoint. Recently, on their press release, they announced that they have launched a new service that lets drivers track and control their vehicles with a cell phone, BlackBerry, or other Web-enabled wireless device. Using Guidepoint wireless access protocol (WAP) service, subscribers can unlock doors, start the engine, and honk the horn through any web browser, including from PC. Also, the vehicle tracking service can display a map pinpointing the vehicle location, as well as a text readout of the street address where the vehicle is located.

Microsoft said that they believes, both current and future versions of Windows, will “continue to compete effectively with non-Microsoft browsers, media players, and other non-Microsoft programs.“, as stated below:

The next head-to-head web browser battle between Mozilla and Microsoft will be started soon. Mozilla is planned to release Mozilla Firefox v1.5 next month (September), while Internet Explorer 7 will be released no later than the summer 2006.
