The next generation of Samsung’s Blackjack has arrived: Samsung SCH-M840 a.k.a Ultra Messaging 2 a.k.a BlackJack III. Soon available in the middle of this month in Korea market through SK Telecom, this Windows Mobile 6 Professional-based smartphone offers a 2.6-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 320×320, a Blackberry-style keypad, finger mouse, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module with video telephony, Bluetooth connectivity, media player (MP3, MPEG4, WMV), and a microSD card slot.

Will be retailed for 600,000 Won (around $600), the phone also provides the ability to check email and browser the web via 3G, HSDPA, or 802.11b/g WiFI, as well as support for various Microsoft Office documents.

The successor of the famous BlackJack PDA Phone is coming. The Blackjack II (a.k.a SGH-i780) will be released by Samsung, together with AT&T, on Black Friday with a quite affordable price tag — $149.99 with two-year contract and mail-in rebate. It’ll be available in AT&T retail stores nationwide, from national retailers, on http://www.att.com, and through AT&T’s business-to-business sales teams. The handset itself brings so much improvement from the predecessor with features include Windows Mobile 6 OS, WiFI connectivity, and GPS navigation.

Here’s the latest photo for Samsung’s SGH-i780 PDA phone which is rumored to be the successor of “Blackjack”. Not much detail about the handset at the moment, except that it’ll run on Windows Mobile 6 operating system and feature WiFI connectivity and build-in GPS navigation function. Cingular Wireless announced the availability of Samsung’s BlackJack, a 11.8mm HSDPA smartphone, in the U.S market. HSDPA provides various multimedia services along with a high-speed voice/data transmission at the speed of 1.8Mbps which is about 5x faster than existing WCDMA cell phones. Other features include a 2.3-inch QVGA LCD display, an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module with video recording capability, MP3 player, file viewer, Bluetooth mobile printing, and Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition operating system.
