BenQ finally decided to make the netbook competition merrier by joining the wagon. Their first mini notebook’s product is named Joybook Lite U101. It looks like this company will use “Joybook Lite” as their netbook brand, alongside with “Joybook” for the standard laptop. Like most netbooks on the market, the Lite U101 also designed with high-mobility and ease of connectivity in mind. Powered by an Intel Atom N270 processor, the mobile device sports a Mobile Intel 945GSE Express chipset, a 10.1-inch LED backlight display, up to 160BG of hard drive (or SSD), Intel GMA950 graphics engine, up to 1GB of main memory, and pre-installed Windows XP Home Edition operating system.

Weighs a mere 1.1kg, Joybook Lite U101 also features a large-size keyboard, three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet Gigabit LAN support, WiFI, Bluetooth, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, a 4-in-1 card reader (MS/MS-Pro/SD/MMC), and a 6-cell Li-Ion battery that lasts for around 8 hours of usage. It measures 258 x 189 x 28~32 mm.

BenQ finally unleashed S6 in Italy market. Being the first Atom-based MID which hits the Western, it surelly brings a lot of excitement (and expectation). Runs on Linux Midinux OS, the device offers a 800Mhz Intel Atom UL11L processor, a 512MB of main memory, a 2GB of SSD, and a 4.8-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800×480 and 262k colors. Moreover, it is also equipped with microSD memory card slot, along with a wide-range of connectivity options, including HSDPA/3G, WiFI, USB, and Bluetooth 2.0.

BenQ S6 UMPC can be purchased for 429 EUR or around US$629.

BenQ is going to release their Aries2 Mobile Internet Device (MID) on European market very soon this quarter. Recently, this net-ready device has just won the Bronze Award in the Interactive Product Experiences category at the IDEA (Industrial Design Excellence Award) event. The specs include an 800Mhz Intel Atom processor, a 512MB of main memory, a 4GB of SSD (Solid State Disk), a 4.8-inch touchscreen display (WXGA, 800×480), a 802.11b/g WiFI, Bluetooth 2.0, and HSDPA connectivity. Sounds delicious.

BenQ’s E2200HDA is the company’s latest full HD (1080p resolution) LCD monitor. Claimed as the world’s first 21-inch full High-Def LCD panel, the display sports a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, 16:9 aspect ratio, a brightness of 300cd/m2, a response time of 5ms, and an array of interfaces — HDMI, DVI, and VGA. Wonderful, now I can finally have a high-quality picture for my desktop computer.

BenQ E2200HDA LCD monitor will soon be available in China, Asia Pacific, Latin American, and some European countries.

BenQ V2400W Full HD LCD monitor, priced at €371 (about $581), features a brightness of 250cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and a host of connectivity options, including DVI-D, HDCP, HDMI, and D-Sub. Moreover, this 24-inch WUXGA display comes in a slim (24mm) body and a unique design.

BenQ C36 cell phone features a 2-inch display with a resolution of 176 x 220, an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, a microSD media card slot, FM radio tuner, and MP3 player. Unfortunately, apart from receiving and making phone calls, that’s all you can expect from this handset. Might not for those who want much from mobility, but anyone who need just a basic, easy-to-use communication device might love it.

BenQ has just announced the release of its new BenQ Joybook R45 laptop. This 14.1-inch notebook PC features a 1280×800 WXGA resolution, an integrated 2 megapixel webcam module, WiFI, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, and a 2.5 hours of battery life. On the inside, it is powered by a 2.1GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor, a 2GB of main memory (expandable up to 4GB), and a GeForce 8400M graphics engine.

BenQ recently introduced “G2400W”, an ultimate 24-inch gaming monitor, in Korea market Not only for enhanced PC gaming experiences, but also for HD-ready console games, such PS3 and XBox 360 Elite, thanks to the provided HDMI port and full 1080p resolution support. It boasts the company’s proprietary SensEye+photo technology which delivers clear image quality that is equivalent to that of digital connection, even when the monitor is connected via D-Sub analogue port, by automatically adjusting contrast ratio and color signals. Moreover, the display will also eliminate 1:1 “just scan” and overscan problems.
