At first, netbook is created for students or professionals who needs to finish their job outside the office or their house. But Bandai, a famous Japan-based company, together with Kohjinsha, has taken the world of mini laptop a little further by offering a netbook for kids! Called Gatchapin & Mukku Netbook, this little machine is powered by an Intel Atom N270 processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 120GB of storage, and a built-in 1Seg Digital TV tuner for watching Gatchapin the dinosaur and Mukku the bigfoot on FujiTV Japan. Not bad for kids lappie…

By the way, two years ago, Bandai Network has also released the iPod Nano Gatchapin & Mukku edition, along with their relevant accessories.

The Smartberry Handset from Bandai is a sliding-style mobile phone with touchscreen display. Aimed at young girls (between 6 and 9 years old), the phone offers the ability to exchange personal information — including business cards (do little girls need it?), blood type, and birthday via the “Wai-Wai communication” system –, a Bluetooth connectivity, sending email (limited to 64 characters though) with photo attachment, play games, and chat with her friends.

I’ve read Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball about 15 years ago (which is happen to be the first manga I’ve ever read) and I really love it ’til now. This cool thing is using WiFI connection, which means, you can move it around freely without the hassle of connected cable.
