Measures 77.5 x 24.5 x 14.3 mm and weighs at just 26 grams, iRiver’s latest creation, T5, features a 4GB of onboard storage and supports for various popular audio formats. To transfer files from your computer, you simply have to plug the device to your USB port and it will be detected as a portable storage. The next job is as simple as drag-and-drop. To entertain you anytime, T5 also comes with built-in FM radio tuner, so if get bored with your own music collection, you can still tune-in to your favourite radio station. No words on pricing, but the player will be available in two different colours, black and white/gray.

iRiver is going to release its newest digital audio player, E50 Metal, on March 20th. Measures 88 x 38.8 x 7.7mm and weighs 40.2 grams, the portable device features a 1.8-inch LCD screen with 172 x 220 resolution, a built-in FM radio tuner, and a 4GB of onboard storage. It plays MP3, WMA, and APE audio formats, as well as SMV movie format @ 30fps. Moreover, its battery provides up to 52 hours of continous playback per single full charge. And that’s over two days of music. Wow!

Cowon has just upgraded its popular D2 PMP device and presented D2+. Weighs 91 grams and measures 78 x 55.4 x 16.6mm, the all-new compact portable media player boasts a 2.5-inch QVGA display, a SDHC media card slot (up to 32GB SDHC card supported), audio/video playback, and up to 16GB of onboard memory. Compared to the original version, the D2+ offers better battery life, along with improved LCD, new calculator function, better user interface, and several other new features, such as notepad and direct radio recording.

Two versions are currently available, one with built-in DMB tuner and other without the ability to watch digital TV on-the-go. Each has four different flavours — pink, white, blue, and black silver.

This device can play MP3, WMA, and WMA DRM audio formats stored inside its 2GB MicroSD media card. Unfortunately, you can only have the music for up to 2 hours, so, if you plan to take a long journey, you might consider taking iPod instead…

Ken D is the latest MP3 player from BigBeam of Korea. Boasting an enhanced video playback function, the device sports a 2.8-inch display and the ability to play music, display photo and text, record your own voice, and of course, play stored movie. It supports various media formats, including MP3, FLAC, and APE. Finally, weighs at just 60 grams, Ken D comes with either a 4GB of 8GB of storage, priced respectively at 107,000 Won (about $83) and 129,000 Won (about $100). Oh, and regarding color variants, one can choose between pink, blue, white, and black.

If you check your iPhone, you’ll find out that there’s an iPod app lies on the Home screen. Here goes the guide for using the iPod application:

1. Finding songs in the iPod app can be done in various ways, via Playlists, Artists, or Songs. Tap More to browse Albums, Audiobooks, Compilations, Composers, Genres, and Podcasts. Once you’ve found a song, simply tap its name to play it.
2. You’ll notice a Play/Pause button which is straightforward. Tap and hold the forward and back buttons to skim inside a song, while single tapping takes you to the next or previous song. The slider controls the volume, as do the volume button.
3. Tap the album cover to reveal some extra features when you’re playing a track. Tap rotate icon to repeat the selected track or song list, use the scrubber bar to skip to a particular point in a song, or you can shuffle through your songs with the button on the right. You can build a playlist of similar music by tapping the atom-like Genius button in the middle so long as you have enabled Genius in iTunes 8.
4. Cover Flow view in the iPod application is one of the coolest things about the iPhone. While a song is playing, simply turn your iPod on its side and you can browse through your albums via their artwork. To see the tracks on an album, just tap its cover.

Sansa Fuze is the next portable mp3 player from Sandisk which will be released very soon this week. This slim digital audio player features up to 8GB of built-in storage, photo viewer function, an integrated FM radio tuner, e-book viewer, and built-in microSD/SDHC media card slot. Its battery provides up to 24 hours of music playback and up to 5 hours of video. I’m currently looking for a compact, yet cheap audio system for my office so that my staff won’t get bored during office hours. This one from Victor-JVC, UX-Z2 Mini Audio System, might not be on my consideration list since it’s expensive (€300, $404), but it looks really cool and has quite a great features, so I probably get one if I ever need a new audio system for my own. Features include an output power of 20W x 2, support for MP3/WAV/WMA/AAC audio files, USB port, CD/MD reproduction, and the ability to record audio tracks directly from CD to your USB flash disk.
