Asus Eee PC 1008HA netbook is now available worldwide. Dubbed as “SeaShell“, this 10-inch mini laptop offer an Intel Atom N280 (1.66Ghz) processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 160GB of hard drive, Bluetooth, and a WSVGA LED backlight display. SeaShell was first introduced during CeBit 2009 event and it sports a beautiful design with a nice color combination that reminds us to the beach. Weighs at just 1.1kg, the netbook also features an ergonomically designed keyboard, intelligent energy management system and an intuitive multi-touch touch-pad. No words on pricing.

Another news from Asus. Today this company unveils the new F6V Series laptop, featuring a nice infused scent which comes in two different flavor: musky black and morning dew. Available in two colors (white and black), this 13.3-inch notebook sports an ATI Radeon HD4570 graphics engine for convenient gaming capability, a 1280 x 800 display resolution, built-in stereo speakers with SRS Premium Sound engine, and an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module. No words on pricing unfortunately…

Starting from May 16th, you can expect to see the latest Eee PC from Asus in Japan computer store, the Eee PC 1003HAG netbook. For 550 EUR (around $731), you’d get a mini laptop with the following features: an Intel Atom N280 (1.66Ghz) processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 160GB of hard drive, WiFI connectivity, and integrated webcam module. Furthermore, 1003HAG also comes with NTT DoCoMo’s 3G WAN module so you can access and enjoy high-speed internet data transfer rate from NTT DoCoMo Data Network.

To provide more entertainment to mobile person, Asus has a great product called Express TV Stick Hybrid. This USB device delivers both DVBT (Digital Video Broadcast – Terrestrial) and analog TV channels right to your PC or laptop in a single stick. It also comes with a 4GB of storage, which contains the software and driver you need to install this TV tuner to your computer. You could also take a snap shot or record your favourite TV programme right on the device. Nice peripheral for mobile multimedia entertainment!

FYI, the latest model is Asus Express TV Stick Hybrid US2-400 which provides both TV and FM radio tuner to your Windows-platform computer. Supported Windows version including Windows Vista Home Premium, Vista Home Basic, Vista Ultimate, and XP.

Asus P80 is a 14-inch laptop from Asustek featuring new Anti-Theft technology from Intel. According to the company, users will be able to shut down the notebook remotely, thus keeping the data inside the machine save until the laptop goes back to their hand. Once recovered, they can use local passphrase or recovery token to reactive the laptop. There’s also an AI Pre-Boot Finger Login function that requires users to have their finger scanned prior to system boot. This way, only the rightful owners can start up the machine. Finally, the AI Secure Delete allows users to completely erase data or files without any way to restore them later.

Regarding specs, Asus P80 laptop features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, up to 4GB of DDR2 main memory, up to 320GB of hard drive, a 1366 x 768 anti-glare LED backlight display with 16:9 aspect ratio, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, Intel WiMAX/WiFI Link 5100, optional Bluetooth, built-in 56K modem, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, a DVD burner, and pre-installed Windows Vista operating system. Moreover, weighs 5.3 pounds, it is also equipped with two USB ports, an eSATA/USB combo port, a 7-in-1 media card reader, VGA output port, and 6-cell battery.

Currently, three variants are available — P80A, P80Q, and P80Vc. The first model (P80A) sports an Intel GMA X4500MHD integrated graphics engine, while the second one (P80Q) comes with the basic X4500M integrated graphics, and the latter (P80Vc) with a 512MB nVidia GeForce 9300M GS graphics engine. No words on pricing and availability on each models.

Asus unleashed the new Eee PC series netbook named Eee PC E1004DN. Powered by an Intel Atom N280 processor, the 10-inch mini laptop features an Intel GMA4500 graphics engine, a 120GB of 4,200rpm HDD, Bluetooth, WiFI, an Express Card slot, an ergonomic keyboard, and DVD Super-Multi drive (the first one on the series). Weighs at just 1.45kg (incl. battery), this ultra-portable mobile internet device also sports Asus Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) technology that extend the E1004DN battery life.

From my personal experiences, a small, compact netbook like the Eee PC series is only worthed playing game or writing document on short period. If you usually using the laptop in a long time (more than 2 hours), get the ‘real’ notebook with at least 13.3-inch screen…

Asus Korea recently unveiled Asus U6V laptop which boasts a bamboo cover and high-end configuration. Powered by an Intel Core 2 DUo T9400 processor, the notebook sports a 4GB of main memory, an nVidia GeForce 9300M GS graphics engine with 256MB of DDR2 video memory, a 320GB of hard drive, and a 12.1-inch WXGA LED backlight LCD screen. Furthermore, it is equipped with 802.11a/b/g/n WiFI connectivity, HDMI out port, and either a DVD SuperMulti burner or Blu-Ray drive. Not sure abou the price, but it doesn’t sound cheap at all…

Asus presented W90 high-end multimedia laptop during CeBIT 2009 event. Powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 processor, the notebook boasts an 18.4-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200, 16:9 aspect ratio, and support for full HD video playback; two crossfired 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4870 graphics engines, a 6GB of DDR800 main memory, Intel X38 and ICH10R chipsets, 1TB of SATA HDD (2 x 500GB), Blu-ray burner, an integrated 2.0 megapixel AutoFocus webcam, a 5.1-channel Altec Lansing stereo speakers, and Windows Vista SP1 Home Premium (64 bit) operating system. It measures 44.3 x 32.8 x 6.3 cm and weighs 5.7kg (including 12-cell battery).

According to the company, Asus W90 is the world’s first laptop that comes with three memory slots (SO-DIMM) architecture. The company also claims that this notebook has the world’s best graphics perfomance (15,000 3D Mark06’s score). Sounds like an excellent multimedia powerhouse…

And here goes another Atom-powered compact PC for today, the new Eee Top 1602 from Asus. Inspired by its highly popular Eee PC netbook, this small computer features a 1.60Ghz Intel Atom N270 processor, a 1GB of main memory, an Intel 945GSE Express chipset, an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module, a built-in 802.11b/g/n WiFI connectivity, and a 160GB of hard drive. Unlike Mouse Computer’s LM-M110S, Asus is kindly enough to include a 15.6-inch TOUCHSCREEN LCD screen (1366×768 resolution) on Eee Top 1602 package. And if you check the screenshot below, you can see that the monitor comes with at least three USB ports and one LAN network port (CMIIW). Bravo!

Asus Eee Top 1602 compact desktop PC is retailed for around €545 or about $691.

Asus has just released the first laptop that is powered by nVidia GeForce GT 120M GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) and nVidia CUDA platform with 32 processor cores. Named Asus N81Vg, this 14-inch notebook promises to deliver a rich, smooth visual experience, thanks to its DirectX 10 support and 1080p HD video playback through nVidia PureVideo HD technology. This combination provides portable multimedia capabilities — including photo editing, video editing, movie ripping, HD Blu-Ray plaback, gaming — far more superior to other notebooks in its category today.

Measures 342 x 256 x 36mm and weighs 2.5kg, Asus N81Vg laptop comes in several configurations. One of the best contains an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor, a Mobile Intel PM45 Express chipset, a 4GB of DDR2 main memory, a 500GB of SATA hard drive, a Blu-Ray DVD combo drive, an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam module, a 6-cell battery (between 3 ~ 4 hours of usage), and a genuine Windows Vista Ultimate edition operating system.
