Sharp will ship two new AQUOS LCD TVs to the market, the 20-inch LCD-20E5 and 16-inch LC-16E5, on September 10th. Both TVs feature a resolution of 1366 x 768, a contrast ratio of 1,200:1, a brightness of 450cd/m2, a viewing angle of 176°, a built-in BS110℃S digital TV tuner, and a host of interfaces (RGB/HDMI/D4/S-Video). Price is respectively set at €560 (about $857) and €500 (about $765).

December 15th is the day when Sharp’s latest handset, “AQUOS 822SH”, hits the light. The light in Japan market, to be precise. Weighs at just 120 grams, this lightweight cell phone comes with 1-Seg for mobile support and designed with an aluminium body. From the picture, you can also see that its display is rotateable, making it convenient to watch digital TV programme. No words on pricing at the moment, but you’ll have five different flavours to choose: light blue, white silver, black, gold, and pink.

BD-MPC70 is the latest offering from Sharp under its Aquos audio line-up. This electronic device is a 7.1-channel surround sound system, equipped with built-in Blu-Ray player that supports various media foramts, including BD-R/RW, DVD±R/RW, DVD-RAM, and standard music CD’s. To deliver HD output with optimum quality for LCD TV’s viewing experience, there’s a HDMI terminal along with 1080p picture engine incorporated. Furthermore, the integrated 1-bit digital amplifiers provides an output of 25Wx7ch.

Priced at 1,050,000 Yen (about $8,750), Sharp Aquos BD-MPC70 is also equipped with Multi WQ XT technology that monitors the sound output using microphones and makes constant adjustments for better quality. This amplifier is compatible with Aquos TV’s remote control and will hit the Japan store starting from June 25th.

How many GSM handsets already in the market with a bunch of impressive capabilities? Yes, a LOT. In the other side, not too many CDMA cell phone are lucky enough to be equipped with all the goodies. One of the lucky one is Sharp’s W51SH clamshell phone. Not just it has a large 3-inch wide LCD display with a resolution of 320×240 (QVGA) incorporating SV engine, the technology behind the popular AQUOS LCD TVs that delivers better picture and brightness sensor (automatically adjust the brightness based on the ambient lighting conditions); this phone also features a built-in digital TV tuner, GPS capabilities with 3D view mode, integrated multimedia player, and even TiVO which allows you to record the TV programme for later viewing.

Other features include a MicroSD card slot, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, TV-out port, and USB connectivity. Measures 50 x 109 x 23mm and weighs 136 grams, Sharp W51SH cell phone will be available in three colors in Japan. ONLY in Japan to be precise…

Along with the super-huge 108-inch LCD TV, Sharp also presents the new AQUOS D92 series, containing four premium Full HD 1080p LCD TVs. They are the 52-inch LC-52D92U, 46-inch LC-46D92U, 42-inch LC-42D92U, and 65-inch LC-95D93U models. With price respectively set at $3,500, $4,200, $5,300, and $11,000, these HDTVs feature a contrast ratio of 1500:1, a high-speed response time, and Sharp’s true 16:9 1080p Advanced Super View Panel produced at its LCD plant in Kameyama, Japan.

One of the star on Sharp’s CES 2007’s booth is the world’s first 108-inch LCD TV. Marketed under AQUOS brand, this large LCD display features a Black Advanced Super View Full-Spec HD LCD panel, a resolution of 4096 x 2160 (four times higher than that of current HD, incase you’re curios), a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, a response time of 4ms, and a fast-motion image processing with 120Hz frame rate conversion. It measures 93.9 x 52.9-inches.
