AOpen XC Encore OE700 Mini PC

Based on the new Intel Penrym platform, AOpen’s XC Encore OE700 mini PC looks like a wonderful compact machine for your living room. Powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor and Intel GM45 Express + ICH9M chipset, OE700 incorporated the company’s proprietary ‘SilentTek Quiet’ (CMIIW, Google’s translation is rather confusing) technology which keeps the computer’s noise to minimum level, along with SAVS (Smart Anti-Vibration System) and SNSS (Smart Noise Supression System). On the front panel, there’s a Vacuum Flourescent Display (VFD) which shows the current PC operations / perfomances.

Measures 200 x 321 x 106mm and weighs 3.9kg, AOpen XC Encode OE700 mini PC also features up to 4GB of main memory, audio output, microphone input, miniPCI x 2 slots, Ethernet LAN, HDMI, DVI, USB 2.0 x 4 ports, remote control, and a slot-loading DVD drive. Not sure whether it comes with Windows Vista pre-installed or not, but there’s a “Certified for Windows Vista” logo on its body. If you want to buy it, you have to wait until May before it arrives on the store.

AOpen Presents MP965-D a.k.a MiniPC Duo

“MiniPC Duo” is the newest Santa Rosa-based machine in town. This compact computer, made by AOpen, is also called “MP965-D”. You can expect all great things from Santa Rosa platform, including Intel GM965 Express chipset, 800MHz FSB’s Core 2 Duo processor, SATA2 hard drive, and Turbo Memory capability. AOpen To Supply Car PC For Mitsubishi

Fortune Motors (Mitsubishi Taiwan), together with AOPen, is going to offer a Celeron-based Car PC with decent perfomance and easy-to-use interface. Currently available in Taiwan, the PC is equipped with an Intel Celeron M360 processor, an Intel 915 chipset, a 512MB of main memory, a 40GB of hard disk, a DVD player, and an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900 with DirectX 9 support. Runs on Windows XP operating system, it also has a GPS navigation functionalities to guide you on your travel.

According to their plan, Mitsubishi and AOpen will soon release the Car PC in China and U.S.

AOpen MP915-X Ultra Mini PC

And here’s another ultra mini PC from AOpen, the MP915-X model. Don’t underestimate this small computer because it packed with lots of high-end technologies, including MoDT (Mobile on DeskTop) technology, High-Definition format support, Intel’s Dual Core processor, and more. Along with this MP915-X mini PC, at CeBIT 2006 event, AOpen also introduced several other new products, such as Intel Viiv Mini PC and SFF.

AOpen MP945-VX Ultra Mini PC

Oh yeah, another mini PC. From A-Open, this is the Ultra Mini PC MP945-VX. According to the company, this little PC is as powerful as other compact-sized PC. They also claimed that users will experience a great perfomance for general activities, like browsing the web, doing productivity jobs, as well as multimedia stuff. Marketing gimming? Not sure, but at least they admit that this baby is not quite capable for (serious) gaming activities.

AOpen H430AV Media Center PC

The H430AV is the new entertainment center from AOpen. This PC offers a complete audio-video functions, with a dedicated multimedia and entertainment environment. Which means, you don’t have to boot into the PC’s operating system to enjoy your favourite music, movie, etc. Simply push the Instant ON mode button on the front of the barebone to instantly start the AV environment and enter the Home Theater mode. You can then watch the TV programmes, listen to audio CD and MP3 files, and watch DVD and VCD playback. Furthermore, the H430AV also provides FM radio tuner, digital photos viewer, and personal preset recording. To control the multimedia, a remote control is provided. Or if you somehow lost it (or broke it), there are several dedicated buttons on the front panel. Sounds excellent, doesn’t it?
