Measures 138 x 180 x 125mm and weighs 2.6kg, the RAL-AMP01 Wireless Mini Audio Amplifier features a 2.4GHz USB transmitter with 4MB data transfer rate, an impedance of 8 Ω, a frequency response of 20Hz～20kHz(-0.3dB), an output power of 2×10W, a speaker output terminal, a 3.5mm jack mini ouput, and a RCA input/output interfaces. This amp is retailed for around 240€ ($379).

The new X-NX10A from Onkyo is an imprresive multimedia sound system with integrated 80GB of hard drive and internet connectivity (for retrieving currently playing music information) via Ethernet. It comes with a nice LCD display, an elegant set of tower speakers — each with a 13cm medium and 3cm tweeter and 26W output –, CD player, and USB interface for transferring the music from your USB disk to the HDD. Supported audio format includes MP3, PCM, and ATRACT.

Onkyo X-NX10A Sound System is expected to hit the store with a price tag of 450 EUR or around US $700.

Kenwood has started offering its K1000 CD Player and Pre-Amplifier) to the market. The compact CD Player (model number: DP-K1000-N), parts of Kenwood’s SUpreme EX range, comes with DPAC (Digital Pulse Axis Control) for excellent sound quality, along with supports for MP3, WMA, and AAC audio formats. The Pre-Amplifier (model number: R-K1000-N) has a build-in AM/FM radio tuner, Auto ROOM EQ, and dual speakers (2×50W @ 6Ω). DPAC is included as well. The price is set at 40,950 Yen for the player and 55,650 Yen for the pre-amp.

The VSX-517 (7.1ch) is the successor of Pioneer’s VSX-516 (6.1ch) amplifier. Along with an extra output making it a total of 7 (100W each), the unit also offers support for Dolby, Dolby Digital EX, NR, and DTS sound processing. Additionally, it can play MCACC, MP3, WMA, and AAC audio formats, as well as direct playback from a USB disk. Nice.

Onkyo presents TX-SA505, a 7.1-channel amplifier supporting Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, DST, DTS-ES, AAC, Dolby NR Professional Logic IIx, and DTS 96/24 sound processors. It incorporate “Theater-Dimensional” technology which create 5.1-channel sound from only 2 speakers. Other features include 7×100W (6Ω), 24bit/192kHz (DAC), and Audyssey 2EQ that provides advanced precision on each speaker. Everything sounds great… but nothing’s perfect. FYI, TX-SA505 Amp doesn’t come with HDMI port… too bad…

The new home theater from LG, HT752TP, boasts a Virtual Sound Matrix technology that is claimed to be able to simulate 10.1-channel sound system on a 5.1-channel. Wow! I don’t know what the hell 10.1ch is nor ever heard about it before, but it sure sounds very impressive. Apart from that, this audio / video system comes with a pyramid-shaped DVD/amplifier, a set of stereo speakers, a USB Host port, and a HDMI port. To make it more futuristic, the company uses Touch Sensor system to replace the buttons.

The Boostaroo Revolution quadruples the volume, and images high-definition 3-channel surround sound. You can use it for any portable player, as well as DVD, CD, satellite radio, laptops and anything else that has a headphone jack. Weighs six ounces, there’s a tab and mounting hole that let you attach the mini amplifier to a belt, key chain, or wear it around their neck. Other feature is a dual mini-stereo port that allows two listeners at once.
