One of the forthcoming product displayed by Sony Ericsson during 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona, Spain, is this minimalist entry-level J110 candybar cell phone. It’s a “Talk and Text” handset, which means, you can only expect the phone to support basic tasks, such as mobile communication and text messaging. Features include up to 200 contact info, up to 100 text messages, and up to 8 hours of talk time. No further info on pricing and availability though.

[3GSM] Panasonic CF-08 Industrial Laptop

One more news from the recent 3GSM World Congress 2007 event. From Panasonic booth, here is CF-08, a 10.4-inch industrial laptop. This waterproof, dustproof, and shock-resistant notebook PC sports a XGA touchscreen display, pop-up on-screen keyboard, WiFI, and Bluetooth connectivity. It can also be used as a display client computer in connection with a server computer or P2P.

[3GSM] AvMap QTM 1000 VOR DVB-H and GPS Combo Device

AvMap, an Italian manufacturer, showcased QTM 1000 VOR, its latest mobile device featuring built-in DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcast – Handheld) receiver and GPS navigation system capabilities during 3GSM World Congress 2007. Developed in partnership with Quantum, the device can receive up to 8 TV channels and allows you to simultaneously watch one channel while recording the other channel. Users can also display their photos collection as well as listen to their favourite MP3 files stored on the SD memory card. On the satnav side, it is powered by SiRF Star III GPS receiver and pre-loaded with maps of Italy from TeleAtlas. Other features include a 4.3-inch TFT LCD display with 16M colors and 25 fps movie playback, and USIM/UICC reader.

AvMap QTM 1000 VOR DVB-H GPS will be available in Italy market starting from April with a price tag of about €400. The retail package will include a subscribtion to H3G’s DVB-H service.

[3GSM] Sagem myMobileTV Cell Phone

Looks like many phone manufacturers are currently working on their own DVB-H handsets this year. For example, here’s another DVB-H phone displayed during 3GSM World Conference 2007 in Barcelona, Sagem’s myMobileTV. Along with the internal DVB-H receiver antenna, this cell phone features a rotating 2.2-inch widescreen LCD display with large viewing angles and 320×240 resolution, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module with DSC-like viewfinder mode, EDGE, Bluetooth connectivity, microSD card slot, and TV-out port. Furthermore, it is equipped with EPG (Electronic Program Guide) from CBMS ESG, OSF CAS, TV/GSM interactive, and rich-media TV client with automatic user interface rotation. Regarding battery, it provides up to 3 hours of mobile TV or up to 5 hours of talk time.

Sagem myMobileTV cell phone is scheduled to hit the store in the second quarter of 2007.

One of the handset showcased by Samsung during 3GSM World Congress 2007 in Barcelona, Spain, is the SGH-E590. This cell phone is designed by Jasper Morisson, a famous English designer. Features include an integrated 3 megapixel camera module with autofocus and intuitive camera user interface, a microSD card slot for additional storage, built-in FM radio tuner, and media player. [3GSM] Samsung Ultra Edition 5.9 (U100) Cell Phone

As reported earlier, Samsung extends its popular Ultra Edition series cell phones with the release of Ultra Edition II series during 3GSM World Congress 2007. The first four models on Ultra Edition II portfolio are the Ultra Edition 10.9 (U600), Ultra Edition 12.1 (U700), Ultra Edition 9.6 (U300), and the Ultra Edition 5.9 (U100). Each of them sports an advanced features, including 3 megapixel camera module, high-speed web connectivity, and enhanced multimedia capabilities.

And finally, here goes Ultra Edition 5.9 (U100), the slimmest phone in the series and probably in the world since its thickness is just 5.9mm. Features include a 3.2 megapixel camera, a 1.93-inch colors TFT LCD display, Smart Search, Smart Messaging, Yahoo! integration, and built-in media player with up to 11 hours of continous music playback.

As for Ultra Edition 9.6 (U300), this modern full metal clamshell cell phone features a TV-out capability, Bluetooth connectivity, a 70MB of onboard memory, an integrated 3.2 megapixel camera module (no autofocus?), and a 2.2-inch widescreen TFT LCD display. Like the U600 model, this 9.6mm device also comes with Smart Search and Smart Messaging functions, as well as Yahoo! integration.

It also comes with Smart Search and Smart Messaging functions, along with Yahoo! integration.

[3GSM] Gigabyte GSmart q60 Smartphone

Here’s the latest handset from Gigabyte, the GSmart q60 model. And thanks to the company, they’ve just made the world of smartphone more colorful. Check out one of its unique features — dotted texture keypad which looks like a LEGO blocks. It does make the keypad feel a little weird to touch though, but at least q60 comes with a QWERTY-style pad, which is wayyyy much convenient the standard phone keypad design. Runs on the latest Windows Mobile 6 operating system, this cell phone sports a 2.5-inch display, an integrated 2.0 megapixel camera module with autofocus, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivities, and 520Mhz Intel PXA270 processor.
