New Symbian Virus Found

Symbian VirusAnother variant of Commwarrior virus has been found. Named by F-Secure as Commwarior.C, this virus is a Bluetooth and MMS worm that is similar to Commwarrior.B, but also has significant new functionality.

The Commwarrior.C is capable of spreading over Bluetooth, MMS and MMC cards that are inserted into an infected phone. Upon infection, it tries to change the operator logo to it’s own. According to F-Secure, they have observed this on Nokia 6600, where the virus changed the logo to “Infected by Commwarrior”.

But since this kind of virus is using Bluetooth, you can always protect yourself by not accepting unknown files via Bluetooth.
