Sony Japan updates its Bravia range with the brand new series, X2550. The line up is currently filled by three full HD LCD TVs with 40-inch, 46-inch, and 52-inch screen sizes. Comes with a reflective piano black finish, each HDTV sports a resolution of 1920 x 1080, both analog and digital tuner, a HDMI 1080p output, Ethernet LAN connectivity, and built-in 11Wx2 speakers. Obviously, the company’s proprietary Bravia image engine is incorporated as well, guarantee a high-quality viewing experince through real-time color correction.

It offers key advantages over standard screens with its vivid and high-contrast images, thanks to the complex noise reduction techniques that enhance low contrast images until they are crisp and realistic, and process blues, greens and whites within each frame to generate the richness and colour accuracy that set BRAVIA TVs apart.

Sony Bravia KDL-V32A10 and KDL-V40A10 LCD TV

Sony Bravia KDL-V40A10 LCD TVSony Korea has finally launched the V series of Bravia LCD TV that is equipped with the WEGA engine. The company introduced two new models, the first is the KDL-V32A410 that has 32-inch size, and the other one is the KDL-V40A10 with 40-inch size. As we’ve mentioned before, these LCD TVs feature an S-PVA panel, Sony’s WCG backlight, OSD (On Screen Display), Picture Off function that let you hear only the sound of your TV programme (what for?), and light sensor that adjusts the brightness of screen according to its envinronment thus provide strong bright colors. There’s also a WEGA gate function which allows you to select external input as watching the screen.

Proton To Unveil New HD LCD TV at CES 2006

Proton HD LCD TVProton, a Taiwan-based company, is going to show off their new series of HD LCD TVs at the upcoming CES 2006 event in Las Vegas. Ranged from 37-inches to 55-inches, these LCD TVs support 1080p resolution, as well as 1080i, and come with both digital and analog tuners. Not much information about the price and availability for now, but the 42-inch model will be available in the first quarter of 2006, while the 47-inch and 55-inch LCD TVs will come up later in the second quarter. The price is $2799 for the smaller one, 37-inch model.
