S9 cowon

Forget the rumors of a delay for the US market. Cowon S9 is ready to land in the good old USA On December

The new Cowon S9 is one of the most awaited PMPs of 2009, it has got a superb ultra sleek design and great features. It is priced quite decently around $200 and should easily grab a good share of the PMP market in that budget category.

The Cowon S9 was first revealed at IFA 2008 and ever since then, has received an immense amount of attention. The specs of the S9 were just breathtaking. A 3.3” AMOLED display, dual core CPU, and PMP grade codec support.

Our PMP of the year, the COWON S9 is not only pretty it’s also one tough portable media player. Remember the hullabaloo over the indestructibility of the iPhone? Well, the Korean maker COWON will not let Apple rest on its laurels,

Cowon S9 is the latest portable multimedia player with a 3.3-inch AMOLED touch screen. With a basic memory drive of 4GB, it promises to challenge the likes of iPod, for the top spot amongst the leading, portable audio devices.

On paper, Cowon's S9 is distinct from what most would consider its rivals. It packs a curvaceous design, nary a single front panel button, an AMOLED display and a codec support list chock full of formats that audiophiles admire.

The company specializing in digital audio, video and voice hardware and software, COWON America has announced the launch of its new COWON S9 portable media player, which the company claims as the first COWON player to offer

The AMOLED-screened Cowon S9 Curve is pretty. I get it. But a sexy design will only carry a PMP so far; a touchscreen media player's success depends on its GUI, and things aren't looking fantastic for the S9.
