Hey All, It seems like a lot of k10 and k20 owners talk about the k100 and k200 and their scene modes as if it's a dumb thing to the point where it's.
I have the Samsung GX20 the sister camera to the Pentax K20d, I shoot professional concert photos, so get to compare my images to a lot of other cameras, particularly Nikon & canon. I have yet to see either brand make a an image with
You might wonder how can a Sony brand slave flash work with a Pentax K-100 or K-200 etc? Slave flashes are triggered by light of the camera's built-in flash. So there is no synch cord or any connection at all. Even better, you can dial
Beautiful pictures! Your lighting set-up is certainly delivering the goods with these. And yes, it's amazing how much you can get with 6 mp, especially with that sensor uses in the K100.
Presumably Pentax can tell by the serial number where its product was sold, You don't need a warranty card or even need to register - all you need in proof of purchase. The first two kits I bought (*ist D and K100) had warranty cards
I have just passed 15000 shots with my K100 that is over 2 years old now. It still works fine. The more I practice with it, I think the better photos I get. If I trade it in for a K20, I'll have to start over learning.
What I don't remember, and don't have my K100 with me, is what options there are on the K100 for selecting color modes - is it only bright and natural (those two I remember as I've used both of them).
This picture was taken by my husband using the K100 and DA*50-135: Firehole Falls: Firehole Falls, a little closer: Gibbon Falls: There are a number of other water falls in the park. Water plays a big part in the geography.
robin_a posted a reply:. the k200 has the same weather seals as k20 - not sure if k100 does? very reassuring in wet damp conditions.
The only downside with my k100 Brianog is that it is 6megapixels. I am going to Vietnam in about 6 weeks for a couple of weeks and it would be really cool if I manage to get some worthy photos to be able to blow them right up.
