iRiver Presents Clix+ PMP

iRiver recently unveiled Clix+, a new version of its popular Clix Portable Media Player. Not sure whether it’s the same as Clix 2 or not, but obviously, this one comes with built-in DMB (Digital Media Broadcast) receiver — lets you watch satellite broadcasted digital content — and several new flavours — pink and purple for example. Other features include an AMOLED screen and a D-Click navigation system.

CES 2007 Preview: 12 New Products from ReignCom

ReignCom, mother company of the famous iRiver, is going to display 12 new products at its CES 2007’s booth. One of them is W10. Jointly-developed with Navteq, this device is a combination between a Portable Media Player and GPS. It is pre-loaded with maps of 10 big cities in U.S, along with a list of over 200,000 POI (Point of Interests). W10 will also support WiFI and VoIP. Another highlighted product for the event is Clix 2, a PMP with AMOLED screen and up to 6GB onboard memory.

Gemei X-900 Gaming PMP

Gemei has just presented its new PMP (portable media player) and PG (portable gaming) combo device, the X-900. There are many PMP outthere which lets us play some games, but only a few come with an integrated gaming controller like this X-900. The company even includes a dual analog sticks along with the usual gaming buttons. From far, it looks just like a console controller with built-in 4.3-inch (480×272) LCD.

Toshiba Gigabeat S30 PMPFinally there’s an English review of the most anticipated Toshiba’s Gigabeat S30 (MES30VW) Portable Media Player (PMP) from cnet (link below). Incorporates Microsoft Portable Media Center (PMC 2.1), the HDD-based entertainment features a 2.4-inch (320×240) 65K colors QVGA LCD, 30GB of storage capacity, audio playback (MP3, WMA, WMA Lossless, WAV), video playback (MPEG-4, AVI, DivX, MOV - automatically transcoded in Windows Media Player 11), WMA subscription services (Napster, MTV Urge) support, picture viewer (JPG/JPEG), FM radio tuner, TiVo To Go compatibility, and Media Center recording. Measures 3.93 x 2.36 x 0.58 inches and weighs 4.8 ounches, Xbox 360-users may also connect and control the Gigabeat S30 PMP using their gaming console.
