Sony has just officially announced (check out the press release on the next page) the new member of its VAIO series laptop, the VAIO AR. This is the first notebook PC in the world that comes with built-in support for High-Definition Blu-Ray media, thus allowing users to watch movies in full 1080p HD resolution. This wonderful capability is supported by the 17-inch WUXGA (1920×1200) widescreen display with Sony’s XBrite Hi-Color LCD technology and 256MB nVidia GeForce Go 7600 graphics engine. Samsung has done a very good job on computer display department. Check it out its forthcoming LCD monitor that being showcased during CeBIT 2007 show in Hannouver, Germany. It’s called UbiSync and it’s the first USB-connected display in the world. And yes, conventional VGA or DVI ports are no longer required. As long as you computer / laptop has a USB port, you can use UbiSync to display the image. You don’t even have to install any graphics engine on your PC, since all of the image processing is handled by the provided graphic software from Samsung.
