Sony recently updated its line-up of PSP (Playstation Portable) with the new J-20003 series featuring a metallic blue case. Price for the original PSP Metallic Blue pack is set at €146 (about $230), while the extended PSP Metallic Blue-1Seg pack, which include a 1Seg Tuner and a 1GB memory stick, is retailed for €185 (about $291).

Samsung Provides 60GB HDD For PSP

According to its latest presentation, Samsung Korea is going to release the next generation of 1.8-inch hard drive which is compatible with Sony PSP. Called the N-Series HDD, it will be able to handle up to 60GB of data, compared that to the current capacity of Memory Stick Duo on the market which is ‘only’ 8GB max. With this new storage, one can turn their PSP into a real portable media player.

Blue and Silver PSP Coming Soon

Sony is going to boost the sales of its portable gaming console, PSP, a little bit further by releasing the Blue (PSP-1000 MB) and Silver (PSP-1000 SV) edition of PSP. Both devices will be retailed in Japan for 20,790 Yen, the same as other color variants (white and original black). The Silver version will go on sale starting from December 14th, while the Blue one will hit the store a week after that, on December 22nd.

Sony To Release New PSP Models

Along with the plan to release the Silver PS2, Sony is going to release a new models of its famous PSP as well. This portable gaming device will soon have two little sisters, one with 8GB of onboard Flash memory, and one with built-in hard drive (unknown capacity). Rumor says that both new models will be also equipped with a GPS and webcam modules. As for the price, the flash-based PSP will carry a price tag of $199, while the HDD-based model will be retailed for at least $200.
