A new digital photo frame will be soon retailed in Japan by Samsung, the SPF-83M. These frame has previously made its way to Europe, China, and several other countries with great success. It can display both video (MPEG-1 and MPEG-4) and photo (JPEG) files on its 8-inch 800×600 SVGA display. If you want, you can also hear your favourite music using SPF-83M, as long as they are on WMV9, MP3, and WMA9 formats. Other features include a contrast ratio of 500:1 and a brightness of 200cd/m2.

Samsung SCH-u520 cell phone is now available exclusively thorugh Alltel retail stores since December 7th last week. This is the first handset that supports Alltel’s new Axcess Mobile Guide, a navigation service provided by Networks in Motion, an award-winning wireless navigation and location-based services (LBS) company, that lets customers to hear voice turn-by-turn guidance, view maps, find locations (restaurants, hotels, landmarks, ATMs, etc), plan trips, and much more. Not free though. Customers must pay a $9.99 monthly subscription fee, or $2.99 daily pass, if they want to take advantage of this cool navigation service.

Nike+iPod Sports Kit

Nike and Apple will soon (probably today) officially launch their Nike+iPod Sport Kit, the first product developed in partnership between the two companies. As a combination between sport and music, the Nike+iPod Sport Kit lets Nike+ ready sport shoes to communicate with Apple’s iPod Nano through a sensor inside the footwear and a receiver plugged onto the Nano. Users will then be able to receive several useful information, such as time, distance, calories burner, and pace. This data will be stored directly on the Ipod and can be either displayed on its screen or heard through the headphones.
