Measures 228 x 135 x 25mm and weighs 830 grams (incl. battery), Viliv S7 is one of the many UMPCs displayed during IFA 2008 in Germany. It’s obvious since compact laptop / mini notebook is this year’s current trend, thanks to Asus’ Eee PC. Regarding S7, powered by an Intel Atom Centrino SLT processor (1.3Ghz/1.6Ghz/1.86Ghz), it sports a 7-inch touchscreen WSVGA display, a 30GB/60GB of hard drive, and a handy integrated SiRF Star III GPS receiver for built-in satnav capabilities. Like many UMPCs outthere, this one also has a a wide-range of mobile connectivity options, including Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiBro, HSDPA, and 802.11b/g WiFI.

Finally, more detail about Samsung’s upcoming UMPC, the “SPH-P9200″ or “Deluxe MIT SPH-P9200″. I haven’t posted about this ultra mobile PC before because there isn’t much info about it. But since the manual has just leaked on the internet, here goes the specs: a 1GHz VIA C7-M processor, a 512MB of main memory, a 30GB of hard drive, 5-inch (800×480) touchscreen display, and folding full QWERTY keyboard. It is also equipped with an integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, 2 x USB ports, and an optical joystick with mouse buttons. Connectivity options include a 802.11 WiFI, WiBro, Ethernet LAN, and HSDPA. No Bluetooth, but still a nice configs.

Here goes more details about EVERUN UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) from Raon Digital. Previously, I mistakenly announced this HSDPA-enabled mobile device as Raon UMPC. Powered by AMD Geode LX900 (600MHz) processor and high-capcity Li-Ion batteries that lasts for up to 12 hours, the UMPC sports a built-in QWERTY keypad and a large 4.8-inch 16.7M colors widescreen display. Alongside with the high-speed HSDPA access, EVERUN also adopts WiMAX (802.16e WiBro), WiFI, and Bluetooth connectivity; thus giving you a full set of options for connecting to the world wide web, including email, instant messaging, chat, or VoIP.

A Little Bit More Detail About Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC

Samsung has just announced that its latest utra mobile computer, “Q1 Ultra”, will be available to the Korea market very soon. If you visited CeBIT 2007 show last month, you might have seen this little baby in action. It’ll be built based on Intel’s forthcoming Santa Rosa notebook platform and sports a 800MHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, an Intel 965 chipset, Intel GMA3000 graphics engine with DirectX 9.0c support, a resolution of 1024×600 (WSVGA), HSDPA, WiBRO, and an interesting two-parts QWERTY keyboard design.
