HP recently released Pavilion tx1000, an 12.1-inch entertainment Tablet PC. It comes with a rotated touchscreen display, an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor, an integrated webcam, dual microphones, a biometric fingerprint reader for enhanced security purpose, and a mini remote control for wireless Media Center control. Thanks to HP QuickPlay 3.0 feature, users can also quickly access multimedia functions without fully booting up the PC. As for the operating system, the machine is preloaded with the recently released Windows Vista OS.

Weighs 4.23 pounds, this convertible laptop is powered by an AMD Turion 64 X2 (dual-core) processor, a 2GB of main memory, and a 160GB of 5,400rpm SATA hard drive. It is equipped with a 12.1-inch WXGA (1280×800) touchscreen display with 180° rotation, supported by an integrated nVidia GeForce Go 6150 graphics engine with up to 128MB of shared VRAM. Wide-range connectivity options are supported, including WiFI, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, and integrated 56K modem.
