Gigabyte, Taiwan-based manufacturer, recently announced two new Windows Mobile 6-based smartphones under its popular GSmart range. Those phones are the GSmart q60 and t600 models. The q60 handset supports WCDMA and HSDPA, allowing high-speed internet connection on-the-go; and comes with a QWERTY keyboard design. As for the 600 PDA phone, it has an iPod-like design and is equipped with a built-in DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcast Terrestrial) tuner and Digital Radio (DAB), allowing satellite broadcasted TV programme and radio station to be received and playback directly from the cell phone.

Here’s the latest handset from Gigabyte, the GSmart q60 model. And thanks to the company, they’ve just made the world of smartphone more colorful. Check out one of its unique features — dotted texture keypad which looks like a LEGO blocks. It does make the keypad feel a little weird to touch though, but at least q60 comes with a QWERTY-style pad, which is wayyyy much convenient the standard phone keypad design. Runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 3.0 operating system, this cell phone comes in an elegant silver cases complimented with a modern retro accent. Features include a 2.4-inch touch screen display, a numeric keypad, navigation keypad, a 256MB of onboard memory, a 64MB of of ROM, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, media player, and a built-in TV tuner with direct recording capability. Well, well, we’ve just heard about the G-Smart i200 cell phone, and today Gigabyte already surprises us with the G-Smart i300 device. Shown off during the Asia 3GSM Conference, the i300 is a PDA phone packed with a built-in GPS receiver, Bluetooth antenna, and an integrated 2 megapixel digital camera. It comes with a Bluetooth headset that can be used as a security device such that if the headset is activated during an emergency, it will prompt the phone to send a message with the last known coordinates to pre-assigned numbers that can be left with friends, family, even colleagues. Sounds cool, huh? The handset itself is planned to hit the market in December.
