I am making an APRS unit for my radio, and I need to know how much voltage the Pharos GPS-500 SiRF III chip (that comes with Streets & Trips 2009) needs to run. I have to jump a few pads on the APRS unit, and I need to know the voltage

It uses the Sirfstar III chip and NavTeq mapping which is considered superior to the TeleAtlas mapping most GPSs use. It has EXCELLENT text to speech capabilty and announces directions in plenty of time with recognizeable street names.

The included parts are: 1). a device that looks like a flash-drive with a brand of "PHAROS" and a model number X12- on it, 2). a device that looks like a big square button with a some words (GPS-500 SIRF III) and 3). a USB cable.
