Pantech & Curitel recently presented its new HSDPA-ready cell phone in Korea market, “SKY IM-U220″. If you notice, the handset looks like a dolphin. Not sure whether it’s just coincidence or the comapny did it on purpose. Being a HSDPA-ready mobile device, it offers up to 7.2Mbps of data access speed, either for browsing the web, downloading content, or accessing email. Its other features are just pretty standard though, for example, a 1.3MP camera, MP3 player, microSD card slot, and e-Dictionary.

Century Corp of Japan presents Dolphin, a portable MP3 player with waterproof design. It even includes a special band that can be attached to your underwater googles, so you can sing your favourite song while swimming. To control the music (change the track, adjust volume, etc), simply use the buttons on the left plug of the provided waterproof earphones. Other features packed on this silicon-covered DAP are a 1GB of internal memory, a USB 2.0 connectivity, MP3/WMA playback, both Windows and Mac OS compatibilities, and finally, a built-in Li-Ion battery that delivers up to 8 hours of continous playback in two hours of charge.

MP3Magz: The Dolphin Who Can’t Swim

Toshiba recently presented a very interesting MP3 player. It can only play MP3 and WMA so I ain’t talking about the features. Instead, the new player comes in a cute doplhin shape. The name (and the idea of the Dolphin-shape MP3 player) is taken from the mascot of Toshiba’s popular laptop brand Dynabook, Dolphin. This thing is retailed for 90 EUR and eventhough it does less than any other digital audio players outthere, I still don’t mind to have one and place it on top of my PC casing.
