Google AdSenseIn the “A-Z AdSense Tips for Increasing Revenue“, one of the tips is to place your AdSense Search Box at the top right position of your page because most of the visitors will looking at that position if they want to search.

s. Google search box doesn’t pay very well but still something is better than nothing. So don’t make the mistake of not using it

t. Maximum people think the search box is on the top right corner. So you know where to put it.

After reading that tips, I tried to experiment with it and move my AdSense search box at the top right position of my page. It was on the bottom of the page before. Here’s the result:

AdSense Search Chart

The chart is based on the number of query. I changed the location on 13 September 2005. See that the line suddenly jump on that date. After that date, the number of the query was always around that point. The peak was yesterday, but maybe that’s because (somehow) the site reached 3000+ visitors :|

Well, now I moved the AdSense Search Box back in to its previous location, at the bottom of the page. The reason is, if the visitors use the search box to search for anything on this site, they won’t get the latest entries, because they’re not yet indexed by Google’s crawler. So I guess, until I could find a way to make Google’s crawler update my site regularly, the AdSense Search Box will stay at the bottom. But if your site is not updated as often as mine, consider placing the search box at the top right position.
