After reading this article, I just found out that Google AdSense gives us the feature to easily rotating our AdSense ad color palette. I thought it can only be done via scripting (randomize which Google Ads to display, each of them has different color palette), but fortunately Google already support it.

Google mentions about rotating color palette on their AdSense Optimization Tips page:

You may find that colors that stand out without overshadowing your content are better for your site than colors that blend in so well, the ads are practically invisible. However, you may find that colors that blend in completely perform better. However you choose your color palettes, make sure that it complements the color scheme of the page. Also, rotating color palettes is a simple way to add variety and freshness to your ads. All you need to do is hold down the Control key and select up to four color palettes when generating your ad code in the Ad layout code page of your account.

See? All we have to do is press the Control key and select up to four color palettes when generating our AdSense ad code.

On his recent post, Darren at ProBlogger said that this rotating AdSense color palette will be a helpful tool for those blogs and websites with a lot of repeat readers. This tehcnique is also good to reduce user “ad blindness“.
