Someone from the AdSense-Id forum, the Indonesian online community for Google AdSense publishers, posted the perfomance list of different Google AdSense color theme / template. An interesting note, the top four color template which bring the most CTR have a white background. But of course, you can’t depend on this list, since it’s still depend on your site design.

If you want to give them a try, I think the easiest way is using AdSense color template rotation feature from Google. So you can see the result from different AdSense color template (up to four template) at once.
