Apex Corp. has an interesting offer for thirsty Japanese. Starting next month, this company will transform its vending machines into an advertising machines. Advertisers can buy a 30-seconds video ads for the price of beverages. This video will be displayed to people who want to get a fresh drink, but since the advertisers already covered the cost, they’d receive the beverages for free (or at least at a very low price). Along with the video, the ads will be printed at the cup as well.

Apex Corp. currently runs over 35,000 vending machines across Japan. Every machines serve drinks in paper cups which costs between 70 to 120 Yen each. For the beginning, the company will only transform a few vending machines into ads medium, especially those which best suit the customers targetted by advertisers. The project itself is called MediCafe.
