Power Vision – EV-DO service from Sprint

Sprint recently launched their EV-DO service, named “Power Vision”. It has several packs at affordable rates. The difference is the support. One package might support both TV and audio, while other might only support one of them. You’ll need a compatible EV-DO phone to take advantage of this service and currently, Sprint has just the Sanyo MM 9000 on offer. This service will even allow you to select from a large number of available games and even play them in real-time with competitors across the country.
Evolution Data Only, Evolution Data Optimized, often abbreviated as EVDO, EV-DO, EvDO, 1xEV-DO or 1xEvDO is a wireless radio broadband data protocol being adopted by many CDMA mobile phone providers in Japan, Korea, the United States and Canada, as part of the CDMA2000 standard. 1xEVDO is pronounced “One Ex-E:- Vee-Dee-Oh.” It is commonly referred in the industry as DO (Dee-Oh). In comparison to the 1xRTT networks being used by these carriers currently or the GPRS and EDGE networks being employed by their GSM competitors, EV-DO is significantly faster, allowing clients download speeds of up to 2.4 Mbit/s.
