Aruba Networks has launched a new wireless access product to faciliate an easier, secured, and convenient mode of internet connectivity in remote locations. The product is categorized as LAN access and was formally unveiled this Monday.
Under the LAN access system, the access points categorized as AP-41 and AP-65 have been specifically developed to cater to the internet connectivity needs of traveling workers within any location. The AP-41, for which you will have to shell out $195, facilitates easy connections between a remote location and the company network and also VoIP services. The AP-65 has been priced at $495 and promises to immediately create a secured Wi-Fi hot-spot. Highlighting the utility point of LAN access, Aruba’s co-founder Keerti Melkote said, “The access points go where the user goes and creates a personal network for the user.”
To use the mobile LAN system, user needs to plug an internet connection to the access point. The wireless device will then automatically create a secured IPSec tunnel to Aruba’s remote mobility controllers in the corporate data center.
